Entrepreneurs -Five Easy Ways To Boost Your Creativity?

When thinking of ways to boost your creativity, most people generally associated this idea with artists, painters and writers. However, to run a productive and profitable business, a business owner must be creative. First, as a business owner you must acknowledge your decision to operate your own business as a bold and creative step. However during the course of running your business you may get frustrated and run out of ideas. Here are the five easy ways to boost your creativity:

Boost Your Creativity #1 - Take an inventory of your activities Sit in a quiet place, write down and assess your business activities. Instead of focusing on what is not working, without thinking too much just write down the activities that you enjoyed doing in your business. For example it could be a Teleseminar or Webinar or Conference call or a coaching call. Did your prospects/customers get value out of this activity? Did it increase your revenue? If your answer is Yes, you must do more of these activities and introduce creative ways to increase your productivity.

Boost Your Creativity #2 - Make an effort to do something unusual

If you are used to communicating with your clients via email, just make a small change. Pick up the telephone and say hello and connect with your client. You and your client may generate new ideas that will be mutually beneficial.

Boost Your Creativity #3 - Get into the learning mode

Make it a habit to read for at least 15 minutes a day to boost your creativity. Concentrate on something different from your business. Try to learn something new and use this learned knowledge in your business activity.

Boost Your Creativity #4 - Say \\\"No\\\" to the Critic in you

Most often before even you write down your idea, you tend to be judgmental and dismiss it. Don\\\'t listen to your inner critic, but just write down your creative ideas/imagination. Then you can ponder over the actions required to implement the idea. Once you have determined the actions, you can make an intelligent judgment on implementing them.

Boost Your Creativity #5 - Take control of your mind, body and spirit

Make a commitment to yourself to eat healthy food, exercise regularly, meditate and get a good night sleep. This sounds too basic, but too many business owners tend to overlook this aspect. As a result, they get frustrated and lose motivation to run their business.

I invite you to leave your comments and answer the question, \"What are some of the ways in which you can boost your creativity?\"

Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - When I came back to Japan in 1999 I sometimes used to ask my students if they would buy anything on the Internet and at that time most thought it was too risky. I'd encourage them to try by using well known sites such as Amazon.co.jp and also pointed out that using a credit card on a reputable site was safer than using it at a restaurant. I can't remember the last time I had that discussion or when the "tipping point" occurred in Japan. To answer your other question, I use Paypal for several reasons: 1. Brand familiarity 2. Easy to use 3. Free to withdraw 50,000yen+ to my Japanese bank account - a huge benefit (but maybe other systems also offer that...?) 4. Easy to cancel subscriptions On the down side, their transaction fees are quite costly, they are difficult to contact and when disputes arise you can sometimes lose even when you can prove via your tracking service that the disputed item was "delivered" to the customer's address!

3 for 1 3 for 1 - Thats a tough job, a single word as an expression of thought for a word like 'internet' is sure a difficult one ! However, I could think of a number of them - they are : 1. Creativity 2. Freedom 3. Universe Hope this is of help.
Delegating Delegating - Good info and interesting list. Easy to see how the authority or power is slowly passed to the person - the secret would be knowing WHEN to move to the next step. I like to avoid people who are stuck at the #1 level. Chris
