Keyword research is more important that you think, because without proper keyword research it will be very difficult to get any results with your keyword based marketing strategy. It does not matter whether you are using google adwords, articles, videos, blog posts, you have to find buyers not searchers. Finding highly targeted people who are serious about service or product that you offer is one of the successful steps to create solid income from your business, because not every click on your website is a good click. I would rather have 100 visitors and 10 buyers per day than 1000 visitors and 1 buyers per day.

So where to get and ideas for your keywords campaign?

One of the free tool is google keyword tool. Just google "google keywords tool" and you will get a link to this simple but powerful tool. What google keyword does is that after you enter some keyword you will get a several ideas for this keyword which you can use in your title in video, blog post, article or PPC campaign. Many marketers are using this tool so there is no reason why you can not!

Another great tool which I use is Google Wonder Wheel. Probably you hear this for the first time, because not many people are using this effective strategy. I made a tutorial video, but if you type some keyword in google and on the top left side you click on show options, new toolbar will pop up. If you scroll down you will se a wonder wheel button, click on this button and you will se how this tool works. It will give you a great scheme about another keyword ideas.

Try to get into brain of your buyers, how they think, how they feel when they are looking for your kind of product or service. This is important step, because after you do this, you will se that you have more ideas in your mind on how to find targeted people.

Remember that you need to provide solution for some problem that is in particular market. For example in money making, working from home niche is the main problem that people are not getting the right education and training so your job is to give them or show them where to find solution. When you do this your business will start moving forward and you will start earn some money.

Re: Keyword Selection - Hi All, Very interesting topic of discussion! Website success mainly depends upon the target keywords so the keywords should be relevant to website theme. Long tail keywords often rank easily in SERP. You can also use Ad word Keyword tool for keyword selection. Keyword having less competition and high monthly search volume are easy to rank.
Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategies - I'd disagree with the first point. Keyword research is important, but it should not be the complete focus when doing niche research. A niche is typically made up of thousands of keywords, and researching them all is very difficult, because the keyword tools won't tell you what most of them are. Plus a niche is not a bunch of keywords, it is a demographic interested in a particular topic. You need to learn about the people in this demographic. Keyword research tells you their search habits and gives clues to competitiveness and potential profit, but you are looking at through a very narrow window of a much bigger picture.
Re: Bad SEO techniques? - There are few more techniques which also known as the Bad SEO Techniques or Black Hat SEO Techniques. Such as: - Relying on keyword metatags - Purchase Links (From Spamming or blacklisted sites or doing purchase links on high level for site marketing) - Horde Page Rank: This is one of my favorites, because it's one that most webmasters don't understand yet. This is because it changed over the past year or two. The concept people have in their mind is that page rank is a key part of site rankings and linking to other sites "leaks page rank" from your site. However, the world has changed. - Swap Links: Another oldie, but not goodie. Search engines want links to represent endorsements. Swapped links represent barter, and they are trivial to detect. Don't swap links for the purpose of building page rank. It's a waste of your time - Implement duplicate content - Use Session IDs on your URLs - Use lots of Javascript - Implement your site in Flash
