How To Increase Sales For Your Business Using Mobile Marketing

Are you fed up of broken appointments, staring at empty tables in your restaurant or even watching flowers die in your flower shop due to lack of orders? All of which are losing you money every day.

Is there an easy way to increase sales for your business?

In any small business, marketing is crucial to your success. Even when sales are down for whatever reason, whether it is because of an economic downturn or a seasonal slump, it is still vital to advertise in order to compete with your competitors and to improve sales.

So what type of advertising do you choose?

In the pre internet days marketing was restricted to press advertising or direct mailing. However with modern day technology including the internet and mobile phones, marketing has changed with the opportunity to reach the masses instantly with much lower marketing costs and more results.

So which form of advertising is best for your business?

In an ideal world a small business would have an unlimited marketing budget both for online and offline marketing in order to find new customers and increase sales. However the reality is that most small businesses are struggling financially and need to find the cheapest and best ways to create sales leads and boost sales.

Whilst e mail marketing is very cost effective, mobile marketing is an even cheaper and more effective way of advertising.

So why is mobile marketing more effective?

There are approximately 5 billion mobile phones compared to 1 billion pc's and better still these phones are with a potential customer 24/7 with messages being read straight away.

It doesn’t matter what business you have, mobile marketing can help you to build up the all important customer loyalty, reduce your marketing costs, create new revenue streams and find new customers.

The first thing to do is to build a list of your regular customers as they are your best sales prospect due to the fact that they have already been converted to your business.

There are several ways that you can build up your list. One effective way is by asking your customers to fill out a card giving their details including their all important mobile number. If you make it clear to them that you will inform them of any special promotions that will benefit them in the future, most will be willing to take a few minutes to provide their details.

This information could then be used in different ways to promote your business cheaply and increase income for your business.

What type of business can benefit from mobile marketing?

Florists could text husbands reminding them of birthdays and anniversaries which will gain them much popularity with both the husbands and wives.

Restaurants could also keep details of customers’ birthdays and anniversaries and send a simple text with a promotion offering them something like a free bottle of wine on these occasions. They could also fill any empty tables at short notice by offering a similar offer.

Doctors, dentists and beauticians could reduce on those costly broken appointments by sending a simple text as a reminder. Dentists and beauticians could also up sell within the same text offering other services like teeth whitening or a manicure at a reduced rate if taken the same day. Up selling can increase sales by up to 20% so it is well worth using cheap mobile marketing to attract extra sales.

Mobile marketing could also be used to reward customer loyalty by offering a special gift like a bottle of wine if they continue to use your services. This will make the customer feel special and will hopefully result in them continuing to use your services over your competitors.

Car sales and taxi companies could use blue tooth to ensure that customers use their services over their competitors.

To ensure that your offer will be successful, take time to research what your competitors are offering in order that you market your business with a better promotion. Mobile marketing is one of the most effective and up to date marketing techniques and can help your business to create new revenue streams whilst reducing your marketing costs drastically.

There are many training packages that can demonstrate to small businesses how to market to a target audience for very little cost, helping to also eliminate expensive broken appointments and fill up empty appointment books. It will also demonstrate how to increase profits for your business and keep you ahead of your competitors.
