Let spring inspire you to make important changes to your life

As we go outside there is a different smell that indicates that spring is almost upon us. While our winter evenings have been filled with being curled up on the sofa and sheltering from the cold, spring is a time shake off the winter cobwebs and become active and adventurous.

However in order to achieve this we need some energy which can be difficult to find when you are still in sluggish winter mode. This can be solved by making some of the following minor changes to our lives:

Keep your body well fuelled with a healthy diet

Our body is like a car as it needs good fuel to run at its best. It is important to start off your day with a good breakfast. Good choices of food to include in this meal are wholegrain toast topped with banana or some wholegrain cereal with semi skimmed milk. You could also add a glass of fruit juice which will also help to achieve one portion of your 5 a day fruit. It is important to eat three healthy meals a day and to also include healthy snacks such as fruit or seeds as these can help to maintain constant sugar levels. Be sure to also eat foods which are rich in iron. Good examples of these are red meats, cereals, wholegrain bread, green vegetables, nuts and seeds. Iron is important as it is needed to transport oxygen around the body.

Drink plenty

Replacing lost fluids is vital for energy and wellbeing. It is therefore important to ensure that you drink plenty of fluids, particularly water, throughout the day. If you become thirsty this is a sign that you are beginning to dehydrate. It is recommended that you drink at least six to eight glasses of fluid a day. If you exercise or live in a hotter climate then you need to drink more.

Exercise

Exercise is crucial for energy. Try to do about half an hour a day of exercise. The exercise doesn't have to be strenuous. Walking, swimming g or jogging can be as effective as exercising in a gym. Exercise is an excellent means of relieving stress too and will make you feel energised for the day.

Sleep well

If possible try to have about eight hours of sleep a night. Reading a good book before bedtime or having a relaxing bath with essential oils can assist in achieving this. A good night sleep will help to ensure that you wake up full of renewed energy to start the day.

Start working from home

Often we can feel sluggish and lacking energy because we are unhappy in our work. Many of us would like to become our own boss but lack the confidence to take the first step to achieve that goal.

Just as spring brings about new life with budding flowers and new born lambs it can also lift our mood and help us to have a more positive mindset. So why not take that step to change your career path and work from home? Working from home can save endless hours commuting to and from work. Time which could be invested instead into creating more personal and financial freedom for yourself. The time you invest starting your own business will reap financial rewards for you instead of helping to build up someone else's financial empire.

Setting up your own business can be very exciting and will allow you to work flexible hours based around your own needs.

There are many work from home opportunities available. Internet business opportunities are particularly popular as they can often have low set up costs and can appeal to a global market. They are also a great type of business to start during a recession. It is vital however to thoroughly research any such opportunities to ensure that they are a genuine business opportunity.

As spring approaches there has never been a better time to put some new zest into your life by changing your career path and achieving the life that you have always dreamed of.

Re: Free elecrtricity generator Re: Free elecrtricity generator - Here is some more info If you overcrank the clock spring to have more than enough energy to lift the weight regadless of friction from the various parts. The dual pully system on ropes cut the weigh by 4 .Lets say for exaple a 40 pound weight will require 10 pounds lifting force Gear ratio on crankig side can be alterd to crank clock spring with more tention than needed to lift it to compensate for the friction caused by all the components and slight friction in pipe to generate static electricity. There are clock springs that are overcrankable so even if you eventually have to much unused power stored in the spring it will not break it will just skip over instead of overcranking. metal fatigue will not be a factor as energy conserved in spring will overcompensate for that. The machine will be prepetual because of the auoto engaging / disengaging shafts Mathimaticly It seems fine I just have to build it but looks like no time soon. I got no funds
Re: Going Back to Work after After Having Kids Re: Going Back to Work after After Having Kids - Hi Ladies, You're having an interesting discussion here. I've been married for 16 years and I don't have kids... yet. People do have many different perspectives on me being a childless career woman. Fortunately, I stopped listening to them a long time ago. I just joke and say my cats are my pseudochildren for now. I actually believe every one of us women have "mothering" gifts, but that doesn't mean we need to use them only to mother our own children. In fact, I think it's sad when women feel they have to give up everything in order to have kids. (If they DESIRE to, that's a different story.) They feel guilty when their own desire to "mother others in the world" tends to rise to the surface. Their kids are no less important just because their desire to make a difference in the world goes beyond the family. Jude, I like that you said about how going to work makes you happy. That's because you've chosen to do what you enjoy. If a Mom does what she enjoys, she will bring more life into her house. You can actually inspire your child by living fully alive. I wrote an article with that title... "Hey Mom, inspire your child by living fully alive." As long as this forum will accept it, I'll upload it on the site here along with another one called, "You are a great Mother (even if you don't have kids)!" I have clients who have kids and clients who don't. I find that when someone says to me that I don't understand her situation because I don't have kids, she actually means she isn't ready to look at what she can do to change her situation. I'm just the scapegoat. There are many women who have learned how to balance their families and their careers with great success. Thank you to those Moms for setting a great example for the rest of us! Warmly, Tami
Open your own spa... Open your own spa... - Hi Julie, I love spas, so I hope you go ahead and do it... However, as GT said, you need to define what you mean by a "spa". For example, here in Japan a lot of spas are actually hot spring resorts, or "onsen" with wonderful bathing facilities in beautiful scenery... On the other hand there are also super-spas that do not use "natural hot spring" water, but they make up for that by offering lots of different kinds of baths as well as saunas and stuff. Then there are "bath-houses" or "sento" which are located in populated areas and are used even today although they are not as numerous as they used to be before people had their own bathrooms! Anyway, I recommend a trip to Japan to check out the spa scene here. I think it might influence your thinking about what a spa can be!! Good luck. David H
Re: what brings tears to Your eyes ???? Re: what brings tears to Your eyes ???? - Hi Barry Being able to make a difference in a life, whether it is a human life or an animals life I think gives one a wonderful feeling of gratitude. Gratitude of being in a position to help and that what you do is actually going to make a difference is definitely enough to bring tears to your eyes. MichelleJ
