A Few Secret Tips to Get Readers Back to Your Site
Like many of us out there in the article marketing world we take time to think of a topic, write an article, and publish. I personally have spent anywhere from one hour to four hours on one article. If you are currently like I was at the very beginning you spent hours writing the article and couldn't wait to get it published. You were in such a hurry to get it online and out to the world you just threw a resource box together.
What's That Little Box?
The resource box is the box at the bottom of your article where you get to insert a link to your website. What is really nice is that you can normally customize your resource box and put more than just a link in it. The resource box is a place you can reference your business and/or site and have a call to action that drives them to your site. While many people are not aware of these following secrets, you're in luck...I am going to share them with you.
What is the Call to Action?
When you create a very compelling resource box, tell the reader what you want them to do. Be Specific!
Think about this for a second-
How busy are you in your world? Just like you and I, our readers are extremely busy. The majority of your readers' are not going to be hanging on every last word of yours. Your readers want information and they want it now. What has been a huge blessing to many of us has also become a huge distraction. We are in a digital era: iPods, Blackberry's, iPhone's, email, Twitter, Skype, and Facebook to name a few. We have a million things flying at us like kids running through the house, door bells ringing, spouses yelling at us, and coworkers driving you crazy.
When you write an article you are normally in your quiet area, glass of iced tea, and our comfortable. We write the article and think everyone should just think "I should click on this link." I'm here to tell you, it's not happening. They have too many distractions, don't give them another. Tell them specifically what to do!
Look at the following resource box.
"Robert Strong trains and helps you become successful online { your link here }.
Why would anyone go to my site? I haven't told them to or told them why they should.
Make it more specific
"Robert Strongshows you how tobecome more successful online. Want to see how to write articles online and become profitable? Obtain Robert's popular and free insider secrets on writinggreat articles at ===> { your link here }.
In the second version you can see why the reader is more likely to click the link. Any reader knows that if they click through, they will find more information to help them. You are playing on the reader's psyche when they read "popular and free." You have given the reader very specific directions on what to do next and he or she knows why. Another insider secret is did you notice that I stayed away from the work "train" and "learn" , I did this for a very good reason. People in their subconcious associate "train" and "learn" with going to school for 8 hours a day and no fun. Take these types of words out of your resource box and try to steer clear of them as much as possible.
You will notice the ======>, this also helps give direction. We have been taught from a very early age to follow directions. The arrow is a direction and like everyone else, your reader wants to know where the arrow leads and they will follow the arrow.
Mirror the Resource Box to Your Title
This is one thing that many people have not thought of or do. You have got the reader interested, and they then read the entire article. Now it is your opportunity to finish what you started by customizing the resource box.
For example: If you wrote an article on "How to Make Money with Affiliate Marketing," you could customize your resource box to say the following...
"Robert Strong is a highly reputable affiliate marketer. If you find these ideas on how to make money in Affiliate Marketing, make sure you read his article Affiliate Marketers and Their Common Mistakes =======> {link to the article}
It is a good idea to make "Affiliate Marketers and Their Common Mistakes" a hyper link to the article instead of the actual URL. It gives a much cleaner look and since you are a very professional entrepreneur you want to come across this way.
Readers will go back to your site for the reason that they don't want to make mistakes that everyone else does.
Don't Overdue the Links
I have seen it, you have seen it, everyone has; the individuals that put 5 to 10 links under their profile or in their resource box. Is this some type of silly game of "mine is bigger than yours?" You need to have only one link in your resource box, the more links you have the worse shape you are in. Do you really think that if you had one link compared to ten that someone could not get a hold of you?
You only have so much space in your resource box...use it wisely! Chose your words carefully, if you concentrate on convincing the reader what they need to do next with one link, they are more likely to click on it. Too many links confuse people. Make it very clear what you want them to do.

I can remember starting out and I really had no idea what to expect or to do. To me it was a new company, new people, new rules, new expectations, new everything! How was I going to remember everything and prosper? I quickly learned who the leaders were and began observing and studying their responses to different situations. I have always had a strong internal feeling that I could do more: for other people and for my family. I have found this by joining a team that focuses on helping others obtain their dreams and becoming more in tune what really matters in life, our loved ones around us.
