Achieve Your Goals in these 6 Easy Steps

Throughout your life you have made goals and made plans to achieve them, and sometimes you were successful and sometimes not. Every day that passes you are either moving closer to your goals or letting them slip further away. It is something like making decisions, even when you do nothing it is still a decision. Be rest assured the longer that you stand idle; you are allowing your goals to slip by. Follow my 6 easy steps and you too can achieve your goals.

No matter how well a plan is laid out or who helped devise it, if there is no end result goal. You must be very specific in your end result you want to obtain. Think about these two statements and consider what they are really saying.

What is it going to look like once you achieve your goal, visualize yourself after this goal. Run the details through your mind. Once these details are all right in order jot them down, without missing any details of how and why. There will be days that you want to throw it all out the window, and I have been there many times. When this happens, and trust me it will happen. Take the details you wrote down and read through them to get yourself back on track.

The third step in achieving you goals is to imagine the feeling of the success. Consider what it will be like once your goal is achieved. How will your life be? How much happiness will this new achievement bring you? What type of celebration will you have? The more pleasure you can obtain from achieving this goal will give you more determination to take action.

Just the opposite of the good feeling, some people are able to perform better thinking of the idea of failure. What do you run the chance of not obtaining if you fail? How will you look to those around you? How will it make you feel as a person? What will you think of yourself? Use these painful thoughts to also take action to move closer to your achieving you goals. Just remember while you may know what these pains look and feel like, you ultimately control your actions.

Somewhat like I lightly touched on at the beginning of this article, you need to be taking actions that move you forward to your goals. Taking no actions is an action that takes you backwards, and you cannot afford many of those. Start by deciding which important activities you need to complete on a daily basis that moves you forward. There are going to be days you are tired, sick, or life in general happens. You still need to complete these actions or at least do something that moves you forward. Something as simple as reading a book, watching a relevant video, or talking with likeminded people is movement forward.

On a daily basis you need to keep yourself fully aware of the specific goal you want to achieve. A way to remind yourself daily is reading your goal and the plan on how and why you want to get there. I have also heard of people putting up a poster board with pictures about the goal and how it would make them feel. Back in the day when I was working for a major retailer, I had huge desires to become a store manager. I knew exactly what I needed to do on a daily basis and I knew why. I focused on these actions on a daily basis and I did end up becoming a store manager, and what a great feeling that gave me.

I know that these 6 steps may come across quite easy, the rewards and benefits can be abundant. Remember, take action every day and you will soon be achieving your goals in no time at all. You too can achieve your goals, you just need to follow these steps.

Roughly seventeen years ago I began my career into retail, and had been with the same major retailer for the past fourteen years. I can remember starting out and I really had no idea what to expect or to do. To me it was a new company, new people, new rules, new expectations, new everything! How was I going to remember everything and prosper? I quickly learned who the leaders were and began observing and studying their responses to different situations. I have always had a strong internal feeling that I could do more: for other people and for my family. I have found this by joining a team that focuses on helping others obtain their dreams and becoming more in tune what really matters in life, our loved ones around us.

Re: Drop out Billionaire Re: Drop out Billionaire - I reveived Bill Bartmann's DVD "9 Steps To Achieve Any Goal" as part of my monthly pack from Success University a few months back. It is a great presentation. I've watched it several times but not for a while so I'll view it again in the coming week. He is one of the greats. Like the best success mentors, he speaks with authority because he has come through much tribulation. His program sounds like a great bargain at $100 a year.
Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - When I came back to Japan in 1999 I sometimes used to ask my students if they would buy anything on the Internet and at that time most thought it was too risky. I'd encourage them to try by using well known sites such as Amazon.co.jp and also pointed out that using a credit card on a reputable site was safer than using it at a restaurant. I can't remember the last time I had that discussion or when the "tipping point" occurred in Japan. To answer your other question, I use Paypal for several reasons: 1. Brand familiarity 2. Easy to use 3. Free to withdraw 50,000yen+ to my Japanese bank account - a huge benefit (but maybe other systems also offer that...?) 4. Easy to cancel subscriptions On the down side, their transaction fees are quite costly, they are difficult to contact and when disputes arise you can sometimes lose even when you can prove via your tracking service that the disputed item was "delivered" to the customer's address!

Delegating Delegating - Good info and interesting list. Easy to see how the authority or power is slowly passed to the person - the secret would be knowing WHEN to move to the next step. I like to avoid people who are stuck at the #1 level. Chris
