Explode Your Business with This Internet Marketing Campaign Part #2
In part one of this internet marketing campaign I talked about deciding who your customer is, and promoting your business. In part #2, I am going to cover things like "Figuring Out a Budget," "How to Create Ad content" and "How to Track and Monitor Your Ads."
Figuring Out a Budget
Forget everything you learned in school, in marketing class or what people try to tell you about a marketing budget. For everything that you have learned, read about, or listened to others it has got you where you are today. If you are reading this, it would be safe to say that you aren't making millions so pay close attention. Once you figure out all the costs of your business you can start figuring out your marketing campaign budget. Have a sheet made out of where and how much each marketing piece will cost you. Once you have all these on a sheet, add them all up and it will probably be more than you were originally thinking. That's okay, it happens to many internet marketers. I am going to help you figure this out.
Since you have got all the sites and different avenues you would like to advertise your business on, prioritize them. Prioritize them by your best estimate of return on investment, any others left over put on a holding list. Do not get of this list because as you start tweaking your first list, and start generating sales you can expand your business to include the "holding" list.
If you have started a small marketing campaign with Pay Per Click advertising, monitor it DAILY for the first few weeks. This allows you to make sure your ads are generating the results you desire.
How to Create Ad Content
Like I tell all my team members and just like I started out, you need to focus on only two things. There are many ways to market a product or service and you may have hundreds of different products. Focus your energy on one or two products or services that have s a strong appeal to your "perfect" customer. Remember in part one, we discussed "Decide who is your Customer," this narrows down your perfect buyer.
Have you ever heard the old saying "Features Tell, Benefits Sell?" You need to really know your product and/or service, but more importantly the benefits they offer. People buy based on emotion, the motion of the benefit your product or service is going to provide them. If you are promoting a work from home opportunity, they benefits could be freedom and the ability to spend more time with your family.
Relating to your customer will propel you far ahead of your competitors. You can relate to your customers by using words like "YOU and YOURS." If you want to repel customers use words like me, mine, my, we, and ours. Using the following emotional words will also help your ads to produce positive results.
- Addictive
- Relaxing
- Stimulating
- Fun
- Comforting
- Freedom
Nothing in your internet marketing campaign is something you can just set up and let run on auto pilot. You have to track and monitor your ads and website stats on a daily basis, especially in the beginning. There are many ways to know if your internet marketing campaign is working for you or not. A few ways would be using specific coups or sales codes for different ads on different sites. Setting up different entry pages or utilizing tracking software on your site. You can also find companies online that offer you tracking services; some are free while other may charge you a minimal fee.
In closing, I strongly encourage you to monitor your internet marketing campaign on a daily basis for a minimum of 30 days. Keep logs of all your advertising and what is or is not working, and what you are doing to tweak it along the way. When you find certain ads performing better than others, try tweaking the better performing and replace the lower performing one.
The ability to explode your business with an internet marketing campaign is very obtainable by anyone. If you follow the steps I have laid out and you have exceptional follow through, you too can explode your business.
