How to Get Free Advertising For Your Website in These Easy Steps

There are a few different ways to get free advertising for your website but I am really only going to cover one. The one way I will cover is done with something that is near and dear to our hearts called Search Engine Optimization.

Keywords Are the Key

As you start to build and continue to add content to your website you want to make sure you use keywords. Keywords in lament terms are the words typed in a Search Engine search box for something that someone is looking for. You will want to use these keywords in your blog posts, articles, picture, and video you put on your site. This enhances your Search Engine Optimization, which helps with free advertising for your website.

Don't Forget Free Directories

Never forget to submit your website to free directories and small search engines like Yahoo and Bing. I would strongly recommend on focusing on the directories that that rank higher than your website. These directories get pumped out to thousands of people to be able to read your content.

Blog till the Cows Come Home

You definitely want some type of blog on your website and start to submit to the different blog and RSS directories. Use your blog the same way you would when you write an article in the sense that you want to keep it relevant to your site. Don't have a website about Golden Retrievers but add a few blog posts about the space shuttle docking with a space station. There is no relevance and this leads to a huge disconnect. You will lose your viewer. You can include any pertinent information just be respectful of other people's work. Give credit to others if you use their content.

Use the Almighty Forums

Use forums or message boards quite often. Add valuable content and be active daily or every other day. Forums are a great opportunity for you to mingle and converse with other likeminded individuals. One little tip on this is at the bottom of every post add your website in a link form. Many people will check out the link. We are a very lazy race right now, no one wants to copy and paste unless they have to.

Article Writing is Huge

For more free advertising for you website article writing can build a very strong foundation. Just like your website you want to use relevant keywords in your article, but don't write a book. A little inside tip as I haven writing articles for awhile now that many rank on page one of Search Engines. Keep your article short, roughly 500 to 750 words. People don't have 5 days to read your novel! They are reading your article to get information on an opportunity they have, and they want a solution quickly. Once your article is done use spell check and reread what you wrote. I always do my articles first on Word and critique them before it goes out to the world. Submit your articles to free websites like EzineArticles.com, ArticleBase.com, and EvanCarmichael.com to name a few.

Don't be a Quitter like the other 97%

Don't quit! Most people fail in this industry because they quit. They may not see results in a week or two and think it's not working, don't do this! You need to submit 1 or 2 articles a day, and be active on a few forums a day. Remember you are building a business, not taking one over. This is just a few ideas that show you how to get free advertising for your website.

Roughly seventeen years ago I began my career into retail, and had been with the same major retailer for the past fourteen years. I can remember starting out and I really had no idea what to expect or to do. To me it was a new company, new people, new rules, new expectations, new everything! How was I going to remember everything and prosper? I quickly learned who the leaders were and began observing and studying their responses to different situations. I have always had a strong internal feeling that I could do more: for other people and for my family. I have found this by joining a team that focuses on helping others obtain their dreams and becoming more in tune what really matters in life, our loved ones around us.

Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - When I came back to Japan in 1999 I sometimes used to ask my students if they would buy anything on the Internet and at that time most thought it was too risky. I'd encourage them to try by using well known sites such as Amazon.co.jp and also pointed out that using a credit card on a reputable site was safer than using it at a restaurant. I can't remember the last time I had that discussion or when the "tipping point" occurred in Japan. To answer your other question, I use Paypal for several reasons: 1. Brand familiarity 2. Easy to use 3. Free to withdraw 50,000yen+ to my Japanese bank account - a huge benefit (but maybe other systems also offer that...?) 4. Easy to cancel subscriptions On the down side, their transaction fees are quite costly, they are difficult to contact and when disputes arise you can sometimes lose even when you can prove via your tracking service that the disputed item was "delivered" to the customer's address!

Re: what position to request? - Hi Michael, Great suggestion from David, or you could try something around a design consultancy, How about Website Design Consultant, Design and Development Manager, Website Support and Development Manager or maybe Internet Business Development Consultant. Ultimately whatever you are comfortable with and good luck for the future, Mal.
