Online Business Opportunities in 2010 and Years to Come

Been seeing the ads on Facebook, on Google, Yahoo, Bing and actually everywhere you look; screaming the many different online business opportunities? They are everywhere, you can't seem to get away from them, they are coming in the form of videos, radio ads, flashy banners, and mp3's and even as text messages now. Are you wondering why? The honest answer is that it a very lucrative industry to get into, the amount of online business opportunities are phenomenal for anyone with a computer and a desire to make a difference in their life.

I am going to share with you a few online business opportunities that I know many people have been very successful with and what are some of the expectations you should have when you embark on one of these opportunities. We will start out with some of the easier ways to have an online business and be aware as we move down the list the opportunities start requiring a little more work on your part but with greater rewards.

Blog Business

With the invention of the internet and the ability to have a vast reach to billions of people all over the world and able to connect with people with a few keystrokes, people have started their own blogs. While blogs originally were just a means for individuals to get their thoughts whether good or bad on the internet for certain friends to see and comment on, the blogging arena has exploded. Individuals now are leveraging the power of the internet and the ease of setting up a blog and monetizing their efforts. Setting up a blog is something that is very easy and many companies like Go Daddy, Host Gator and many others will help you if you get a domain from them. They do this as a service because with technology advancements anyone can set up a blog, and you might be wondering about maintenance of the blog. If you use a free service like Word Press, does piece of cake mean anything? You can set up your blog and have different advertisements that allow you to start making a little bit of money in your first month (nothing to retire on honestly).

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing has many great online business opportunities for anyone looking to make extra money selling someone else's product or service. Many people are very excited about this opportunity especially since the invention of the internet and the technology it brings to our fingertips, just like blogging your reach to billions of customers are all within your reach. With affiliate marketing in the online sense, he majority of time you have no overhead, no products filling up your garage, and no weekly meetings to attend at a nearby hotel. While affiliate marketing sounds like a dream come true, it can be but also can be very discouraging for others; let me explain.

If you are an affiliate for a certain product or service, there may be an initial fee to sign up, there may be a monthly fee to be an affiliate and you need to sell the product. I would recommend fully investigating the cost of the signup fee (if any) and if there is a monthly fee. You also need to be fully educated on the product and or service you will be promoting or advertising, as when you sell that product you are the face of that company. Your reputation could be at stake if you make a decision that really helps an individual out or one that costs them money and they get nothing valuable in return. I have experimented with a few different affiliate opportunities and have found a couple really great ones and then a few duds that cost me hundreds of dollars and no return. The secret to affiliate marketing after you do the home work is be part of a product or service you see the value in and be able to advertise the product or service with ease, a product or service that there is a demand. A little secret for you (run the product or service through a search engine and see what type of search queries are done - this a good indication of the demand).

Internet Marketing/Network Marketing/Direct Sales

This model is the one that also encompasses many MLM models, while there is a direct difference between a MLM and Internet Marketing/Network Marketing/Direct Sales many people can easily confuse them and throw them all in the same category. The majority of your MLM models depend on recruiting a bund of people below you and you rely on them recruiting more people and them selling more products or services. In internet marketing/network marketing/direct sales; you are not at the mercy of the people or "recruits" you have underneath you. You are actually more like an affiliate marketer but on a much larger scale, and normally a bigger investment; but with a bigger investment you could have a bigger return on your investment. These initial investments I have seen range from a few hundred dollars to thousands, with payouts in the hundreds and also thousands per sale.

I compare the investment like going to play the penny slots at your local casino or walking over to the craps table. The game is a little different yes, but the return on investment is relative.

Self Made Product or Service

Well just as it sounds, you could have a self made product or service that could be your online business, a business that relies solely on you and your ability to advertise. These online business opportunities normally require a vast amount of overhead (depending on the product or service), sometimes require products in your home or separate location which brings up the rent issue (again just more costs.)

In closing, you need to investigate and be aware of what online business opportunities are out there, how they are structured and how can both you and the opportunity be rewarded. Your return normally is based on what type of investment you are willing to make; not only in money but also with time. None of the above mention are opportunities that I would expect to make you rich in 30 days and they all require your dedication and hard work.

You can see my Bank statement......... - Hi there, Today we are bombarded with 'Business Opportunities' by the multitude. I believe it is possible to earn a lot through the internet, but it is hard work. Nobody gets it very easy on a long term basis. [b][b]How much notice do people take[/b], [/b]when the Bank Statements are shown as means of 'how credible' their business idea is? Are they always totally true? They look authentic. The whole industry is growing rapidly. What is your experience? Is there any regulation in presenting the 'Bank Statement' or other statements from 'Click Bank' etc ? The Big Book of Small Business: You Don't Have to Run Your Business by the Seat of Your Pants, by Tom Gegax. Ditto. 3. PADI: The Business of Diving Book Okay, so this book won't be of use to anyone who doesn't want to start a scuba store, but I did, and this book was of course invaluable to me in reaching that goal.
