5 Ways to Succeed in MLM Recruiting Where Others Fail

The real key to being successful with a home based internet business is to develop your own personal ‘value' to the market place rather than trying to ‘sell' your product or business opportunity or be tied to one MLM or network marketing company.

Top earners in this industry acquire a following because of the value they offer to their target audience.

Here we outline some key tasks you can start doing to create uniqueness and add value to your home based or online business.

#1 Warm people up Successful internet marketers don't buy lists or make cold calls to opportunity leads to build their business. How successful can your business really be when your entire strategy is based upon approaching people who never asked to be approached?

Instead, top earners in this industry are those that acquire a following - and I'm not just talking about Twitter (or Buzz - give it time!). They utilise good PR to establish themselves as an expert.

So ask yourself ... what it is you are all about? What are your values, your interests. How can your passion and expertise shine through to help others?

#2 Develop your unique identity

What unique contribution might you develop and promote?

If you're in MLM - network marketing - this is probably opposite to what your upline or company is telling you. They scream duplication and one income stream dependent on the volume of products you distribute.

After 5 long years in MLM, I finally twigged that cold calling opportunity leads and talking to friends and family no longer works and is actually the biggest cause of failure.

#3 Attract your following

Imagine your business where you can easily have pre-sold prospects coming to you instead by building an effective marketing system - a funnel that pre-qualifies those that are both interested and serious.

That's what you really need to work towards if you are really to succeed big time.

In fact, within only a few days of learning about attraction marketing, I learned more about internet marketing and talking to prospects than I'd learned in my almost four years of network marketing using a traditional approach that most of us are pulled into.

#4 Flex your leadership muscles

Once I found out why 97% of network marketers never make any real money, of course, I decided to stop wasting time on old school 'sharing' techniques. Who else is sick of chasing down prospects and harassing relatives?

Why does network marketing sound so good in theory ... yet never seem to play out that way in practice except for a select few who say "don't worry, you'll make it, just hang in there!

Instead, start to promote your personal brand of YOU Inc. To do this, your marketing education and lead generation system need to help you bring things together so they are pulling in the right direction, getting people interested in your stuff, gathering a following ...

So back to the question ... how can you add value so this begins to happen and take off?

#5 Create your personal hub

Identify first a personal 'hub' that sums up your interest, expertise or values and build from there.

What to build .... here's a bunch of ideas:

1. drive 'free' traffic through viral marketing such as ezines, PR, utube, banner exchanges, etc.

2. work through good educational marketing material that draw people to you - educational marketing.

3. make links with relevant affiliate programs and joint ventures to 'monetise' what you do online through integration marketing

4. develop good PR using print and media to fuel your attraction marketing

5. give excellent service and follow up to increase your lifetime customer value - satisfaction marketing.

If you want to drastically improve the results you are getting for your network marketing business, I strongly urge you to take heed and start building your brand of one and adding value to your network marketing community today.

Most people like to engage with something or teh other. If they can truly listen to their inner voice and work towards achieving it, then you can see "miracle in action". So, big changes happen, when you think BIG. If you cannot to think BIG, you cannot do BIG things too. Robert

What is your hit ratio? What is your hit ratio? - Like most entrepreneurs I have more ideas for where I want to take my business than I can handle. I believe in the "fail early, fail often" philosophy and try to find small ways to get started on a project to see if it has any legs. I would estimate that for every 50 things I try, most of them don't have an impact for me, 10 of them have a slightly positive impact, and 1 hits it really big. Some of my big wins over the past few years have been: * Learning the ins and outs of search engine optimization to drive traffic * Putting up and optimizing Google AdSense ads to monetize the website * Deciding to be the leader in profiling famous entrepreneurs online * Recruiting outside authors to help contribute to the website content (now have over 25,000 pages) * Creating the entrepreneur forums * Bringing on staff to help cope with the daily amount of work required to keep things running smoothly What is your hit ratio and some of your big wins?
