How to Write A Great Sales Letter by obeying these 4 basic rules

Writing a sales letter can be a difficult thing to do. If you are new in writing newsletters, it might be a learning curve for you with lots of trial and error. The common thing about all sales letter is that it can be challenging but if you obey 4 basic rules, you will be ahead of most of the competition out there.

Define Your Offer

This is the first and most basic thing you need to do for your sales letter. You need to explain to your customers what you are trying to offer and how they can benefit from your offer. Try imagining that you are the salesperson talking with a potential customer just like in real life face to face and apply that same principle of communicating with customers on the internet. Add a more personal touch to your sales letter. People will feel a better connection with you than a salesletter sounding too much like an article.

What Are You Offering Your Customers?

Your customers will definitely wonder if your offer is worth it and if they could actually benefit from taking up your offer. They will ask, "What's in it for me?" If you don't provide an answer to this basic question, chances are that you will never convince them to take up your offer or even read your sales letter anymore. People have a short attention span especially with the flood of emails these days so you have to provide a quick summary in the beginning to capture your customer's attention before they close your email.

Is There A Call to Action

Are you telling your customers to do something after reading your sales letter? Are there any clear instructions what to do next? In this day and age, people generally like to be led by the hand. If you can guide them step by step right down to the very minor detail to make money, customers will flock to you and even more will come if you can proof that they can make money on their own. Of course you don't have to lead them every step, but the most important thing to tell your customers is to subscribe to your newsletter or ebook so that more calls to action can be made by doing that.

Exit Pop-Ups

This might be a sneaky thing to do for some. An exit strategy means that you have a system put into place to get people to subscribe or opt in to your sales letter. A good example of this is an exit popup window. Some might not like the idea of a popup because it is intrusive but try making a simple popup with good info and present it to your visitors. Studies have shown that there is a higher opt in rate with websites with popup windows.

These tips may seem simple even to a newbie, but there are not many marketers utilizing this methods or tips to write better sales letter. Some might think that these are minor changes but you'll be surprise that even minor changes can have a significant impact on your sales and optins.

I wish you success!

Re: Craiglist Advertising - Google Analytics Results Re: Craiglist Advertising - Google Analytics Results - Craigslist has strict rules on posting adverts and they should all be for local ads. The fact you are posting in one city and then another means you *may* be breaking these rules. If you ramped this up and craigslist got annoyed they may report you to your affiliate and advertising networks which will then ban you. If you are not obeying craigslist rules and advertising your website, you are essentially spamming them. Spamming is not a long term business model and can get you in trouble.

Here it is: Write the blog post / article you were born to write. Write something that you can pour your heart and all your passion into. Write something where you can change the life of the person reading it. Write something where if you look back in 10 years you'll be really proud of what you created. Can you do that? I'd love to read it (and I bet a lot of others will too!)
Important tips for online business Important tips for online business - 1.Traffic. Without traffic, you have nothing. It is like having a store where nobody walks through the door. Without traffic, there is none to buy your product. 2. Your Sales Letter. This is where you sell your product. It is of vital importance that you have a sales letter that converts, and you should work on it continuously to increase conversion. Otherwise those prospects that you have got to your website will just leave and go somewhere else. 3. Your list! You should continuously be trying to build your list and your network. It is easier to convert a qualified prospect into a customer, and an existing customer in to a repeat customer. Hope this helps guys!
Re: Do Articles For Businesswomen need to be written differently Re: Do Articles For Businesswomen need to be written differently - I don't think that as a general rule an article [i:11csddi3]needs[/i:11csddi3] to be written "for women." In my opinion, the two important writing rules are: 1) Write for your targeted audience. If it happens to be predominantly women or predominantly men, then write accordingly (if you have the ability to make that distinction in your writing). 2) Write in your own voice. Be natural. If you are a serious writer, your style will become apparent over time and you will develop a following. It may happen that your style is more attractive to one sex or the other. If so, you may be able to advance your writing career by further cultivating your sensitivity within that style. Bottom line: I do believe that certain styles appeal to women, certain styles appeal to men and if you know the distinction, have the ability to write in a particular style and choose to target one sex or the other, then go for it. But I don't think that it is a necessity in today's market. GT :-]
Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional - Hi Evan, I am noticing that many of the posts in the Sales/Marketing section deal with online marketing, SEM and and SEO and Affiliates. I was wondering if it might be a good idea to separate that section into two; 1) Online Sales and Marketing; 2) Traditional Sales and Marketing
