Probate Real Estate Properties, Can Be A Treasure!

As long as the personal representative has been given the authority, they can sell anything they see fit. Other than a great buy on the real (real property) estate, there’s often a full house of items that can be purchased as well!

Some of the best example’s come from a probate real estate house where the heir’s are out-of-state. Why? Because often they just want the money or they just flat don’t have the time to deal with all the stuff! Their new found funds came about from an unexpected source. For an example lets take an automobile. Many times you can find a low mileage and garage kept vehicle.

A close friend of mine just picked up a 1999 Buick with 95,000 miles for $600 dollars. I bet the car is worth every bit of $5,000 dollars. There was a little paperwork that had to be worked on. It was a lost title problem, but for $35 dollars and three week wait, it was worth it.

Here’s another area of interest. You can make contact with various dealers for different type of products. In other words you pretty well know your going to be able to get rid of an entire houseful of goods before you ever purchase them. You just make the personal representative an offer for every thing in the house.

Let’s say you also have a gold and silver buyer who you know well offer you ( x ) amount of dollars. That’s if you don’t want to mess with it. Then you have a collectable dealer who may deal with stamps collections, Barbie doll collections, baseball cards, etc, the list

is endless!

You may have a furniture guy lined up, a used appliance’s buyer and a guy who buys only used air-conditioning equipment. What can’t be sifted and sorted can be sold to a junk man who will sell for weight content. You would be surprised at what you can get for old car batteries, selling them for the lead content.

Who knows what you may find in these old houses! You may want to get a small warehouse and store two or three houses full of items until you can call one of you dealers over there ands make you an offer. It might be feasible to hire a part time handyman to sort through this stuff for you while your running the probate houses end of the business.

As the old saying goes, “One man’s house is another man’s treasure!” Take the probate real estate business…bull by the horns and make your mark in 2011!
