Autosuggestion is seen as an active method of idea wherein the mind is occupied by a certain thought that could translate into reality if it were actually possible. This means that if the idea thought about is feasible in the physical realm then it could in fact happen through the power of just thinking it. However, some factors should be avoided in order for autosuggestion to successfully occur and an example would be willpower. Willpower must be ignored in the process of thinking a thought so as not to entertain possible conflicts with what you personally believe and the idea you are thinking of. If the thoughts conflict then the results may actually be opposite. For instance, if you try to keep thinking you ought to sleep, you sometimes even have more difficulty sleeping in the end.

But you can also use autosuggestion to benefit your mind's productivity. The power of positive thinking could take you places. Many have actually testified in the effectiveness of positive thinkers. For many business risk takers, autosuggestion could be the drive that keeps your business alive.

Take for instance home based businesses which are oiled and fueled by stay home adults. The only drive for your business to succeed is directly proportional to the amount of motivation you fuel it with which is basically how much you believe in what you do. How can you sell a product or service if you do not personally believe in it? Most of the biggest selling products are sold by the testimonies of its sales men and women. First step is thinking your product is the best that's why the customers ought to buy it. When you think it is the best, you are convinced to be selling the best and thus motivated to do all means in order to sell more. Next is to keep thinking you are at the top of your game. The tendency for home based businesses is that you do not see the other competitions out in the market therefore if you think you are at the top of your game then you will act like it. Your marketing strategies and machinery are top of the line enabling you to perform with quality even from your home.

A home based business is only as good as how you think it to be and autosuggestion helps the business owner push himself to the limits of his imagination.

Hiring introverts vs. extroverts - Hi Kevin - interesting topic! Thinking back over my career as an entrepreneur and the people I've brought on, most of them have been introverts. The exception usually comes with the sales function (but not always). It's generally hard to be a good salesperson if you are an introvert.

Re: Getting ready to sell by childhood baseball card collection. - Sounds like we're in a similar situation Mal. For me it just got to a point where I realized if I took my top 20 or 30 cards that meant the most to me I could actually display them and cherish them instead of keeping them in boxes with all the others. Plus I knew others could benefit and get new happiness from the other cards. Thinking about those 2 points made it a lot easier to part with them.

He was faced with a financial problem, he needed money for his university education. He sat down one night and thought on how to overcome the problem, he came out with selling pixels to a million people at a dollar each. In five months he made his millon.
