Top Character Traits of Entrepreneurs

More and more people are quitting their jobs and starting their own little businesses. If you want to try being an entrepreneur, you should be ready for both the ups and downs of the path. You might be shocked that you suddenly do not get regular income each month compared to being an employee. However, you are more than free to increase your income generating capacity to limitless bounds. Here are some of the traits you have to possess.

Passion

First and foremost, you have to love what you do. Too many entrepreneurs fail within the first 2 years because they are only after the money and truly are not passionate about their chosen business and the tasks required. You have to be ready to work long hours, since you no longer are paid by the hour. You should also be ready to sacrifice some of your personal time and cash to further grow the business.

Patience

Some businesses will take 2 to 5 years to get its full investment back. It is important that you practice patience at all times so that you can gauge all the available options and make the best decision. Some businessmen are very compulsive that they miss out on other opportunities. There is also a difference between waiting wisely and missing out on the right chance. You have to check the market and study it carefully so that you know the proper time to invest or sell.

Persistence

All businesses will experience slow sales during some parts of the year. You should be ready to face some of the challenges and big trials that come with running a business. A lot of entrepreneurs even go through the process of closing down a business at some point in their lives. The important thing is that you stay resilient and continue doing what you love. Learn from your mistakes and do better the next time.

Hardworking

The owners of businesses work harder than any employee or manager. As an entrepreneur, your income will heavily depend on your ability to work hard. You cannot expect to just relax and wait for the money to come in. You should advertise, build your network, talk to potential investors and clients and find other ways to augment your income and grow your business. You should study and learn from books and the internet nonstop. Always be on the lookout for competition and what your adversaries are doing.

Flexibility

The best entrepreneurs know what the market need at the moment and respond very quickly. Flexibility is a very important trait because people's needs constantly change. There are also plenty of innovations available so you should keep up with the demands to stay in the market. You should learn to adjust based on the current trends and lifestyle of your target market. Always update yourself with the latest changes and technology. You should also have enough capital to make the necessary move to be on top at all times.

To your Success,

After years of struggling and being broke by trying to learn the internet world, see what I did to recover my dignity to over come all odds to be able to quit my job as a Mortgage Banker. Allow me to help teach you and show you the techniques that have helped me make the transition from my cubicle computer to my home computer.

Hi, my name is Thomas C. Chandler. I am happily married with three children. I was in the Mortgage Banking Industry for over 13+ years. I was sick of deadlines, sick of taking the fall for things out of my control. So, I did a ton of research and found a Professional Online Marketing Platform that allows me to teach others how to market themselves or their business to people all across the global. I love Mountain biking and teaching my children about life and how to handle and deal with the 'real' world. I look forward in speaking with you soon. Warmly yours, Thomas C. Re: Great at one thing OR good at everything? - [quote="babyjoy214":tb4042ja]I heard this from my dad "Jack of All Traits, Master of None"[/quote:tb4042ja] Personally, I see myself as being a good at a lot of my passions, but not "great" enough to earn a living from any of them. I feel that our society favors those who specialize and pigeon hole themselves into one thing. In fact, I don't think you can even get a high paying job without spending 6 years studying that one subject in college + post grad studies.
CEOs and Email - Slaves? CEOs and Email - Slaves? - I wonder if the emails they are responding to are filtered thru their assistants first 'cos they seem to spend a lot of their off hours responding to them. True they are successful but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that price. I'd be interested to know what's the in the typical day planner of Entrepreneurs on the Forum. Entrepreneurs are a different breed than Paid Employees- so it would be interesting to view the contrast.
Fundraising for 3rd world Entrepreneurs Fundraising for 3rd world Entrepreneurs - How great to learn that Evan is doing something for Entrepreneurs in Africa! It just makes me even more thankful to be part of this forum! After helping create a new charity for animals in my local community last year, I created a vision for a charity empowering Women Entrepreneurs. It won't happen for a while yet, but I know it is something I will do within the next few years. As we allow ourselves to think bigger, the opportunity to impact people becomes much bigger as well. Does anyone else have a desire to really make a difference in the world through this means?
