Are you struggling to find a better job? Is the Internet a viable option?

Are you struggling to make ends meet? Are you struggling to find a better job? Are you struggling to build a retirement income? You may even be wondering if you will ever be able to retire! You are not alone.

We are all in the throes of a global recession the likes none of us have seen in our lifetimes. Every day we hear about rising unemployment, foreclosures, bankruptcies... more bad news piled up on old bad news. Consumer confidence is at it's lowest level in decades.

In the past, traditional private business such as manufacturing was the driving force behind economic recovery. That was the past, this is the present. With the technological advances of the past decade and the money markets linked together we are moving onto a global economy that is dependent on all it's parts functioning together. Those parts are the economies of countries across the globe. The primary common factor among all the globes economies and consumers today is the access to and use of the internet.

Almost as if it is feeding off the economic downturn, Internet Marketing and Internet Business Opportunities are exploding and growing faster than ever before. Billions of consumers are surfing the Internet daily, not only from their computers, but more and more from mobile devices such as cell phones. The Internet Marketplace is always open and the stream of consumers keeps growing.

But... (isn't there always a "but")... with such a wide open market, trying to find the business opportunities that are not only legitimate and honest AND can actually turn a profit is a daunting task. It seems as if every day there are hundreds if not thousands of new business opportunities being offered. Well, first lets call the majority of those not opportunities but business scams. That's right scams. Most of the programs being offered cannot come close to ever producing the income potential they claim. "If it sounds to good to be true, then it is".

Let's look at some of the basic concepts to look for in a legitimate, honest and realistic Internet Business Opportunity. They are advertised in many ways - "Work At Home Job", "Internet Marketing Opportunity", "Online Business Opportunity" and so on.

1. Let Common Sense Prevail - If an ad for a program is claiming unrealistic income potential or sounds like a get rich quick sales pitch, you will more than likely be wasting your hard-earned money.

2. Do not fall for the ads that claim you can work for three to four hours a week and make huge amounts of money. You will have to work hard and spend time to start your new business and to make it profitable. Even with a proven legitimate program if you don't put in the effort you will not reap the rewards. Working three to four hours a week is not going to make you much more than lunch money.. if that.

3. Find a program that has a proven track record of success. Verifiable testimonials are a must. DO SOME RESEARCH! When you find a program you like and feel confident in, research it on the internet.

4. If they are asking for a large fee to join, $500 or $1000 for example, be very wary. All good programs are willing to let you see what they are all about usually for a small amount or for free!

5. Support, support, support! Another sign of a viable program is one that will offer its members true support. This will come not only as live support you can actually talk to, but support in the form of training and resources. webinars, training calls, articles, online classes and step by step instruction on "How To" for different methods of marketing.

6. Seek out an Internet Business that offers not only the support listed above in number 5, but one that can show you that there are real people available to help you that are actually using the same program and can share their experiences with you. People who started the same way you would be. People who have been successful and can assist you along the way. With the power of the internet, it will be simple to Google someones name to confirm they are who they claim to be and how successful they are.

In conclusion, yes the Internet is a viable option. If you are struggling to find a better job, or simply struggling to find a job, consider the opportunities using the Internet. In a coming article I will discuss the most dominate Internet Marketing businesses being used by today's successful entrepreneurs.

"Do whatever it takes. There is no rewind in life."

Bruce LaMonica’s background in business goes back thirty plus years. While most of those years were spent building his knowledge base and developing successful traditional business models, Bruce decided to delve into internet marketing this past year. Having been interested in the home based business market for years, Bruce decided to turn his attention to internet marketing. Keeping one of his old businesses, he researched and studied viable on-line marketing companies and platforms. He sought out knowledge from the top internet entrepreneur earners and placed himself in a position to begin his own internet marketing career. Now associated with two of the top five internet marketing companies, he is carving out another successful niche, through the power of the internet.
Bruce feels one’s net worth is greatly determined by helping people and how you are judged by your peers. “Achieving personal success means very little if you haven’t helped others to be successful”. Always having been a strong believer in giving back to the community, he has enjoyed volunteering for many charities and causes. He has been a volunteer fire department member for thirty three years and is presently a Chief. It has been his honor and privilige to work with some of the best people in both the volunteer and paid fire service.

Volunteers Volunteers - Yes, I would say you would be hard-pressed to find a person or group to simply volunteer their time and effort to help a small business if it is not a not-for-profit operation. Like IWD said, reliability is obvious the largest downside, unless they are simply passionate about your idea, beliefs, concepts, etc. Now, if your business is of a decent size, you may be able to get people to work with you on your business in exchange for equity in your business. This way, you will not have to put any of your crucially needed cash upfront, but must share slight ownership in the business. Another very viable option is simply mentors, or 'Board of Advisors' who usually will be glad to help out fellow entrepreneurs, when it comes to more strategical thinking and business-directional questions. However, if you are simply looking for labor-intensive help [factory, administrative, etc.] the 'advisors' idea is obviously not viable. It will be difficult to find someone to work simply for free on a profitable business operation. The most usual form of this is simply friends and family members who will help until the business is at a point where it can afford to begin hiring cheap labor. Hope this helped even a little bit. -Brandon
Re: Alexa Ranking Goals Re: Alexa Ranking Goals - My goal for Alexa is to get my blogger blog into the top 100K just to prove that blogger is a viable option. Yes, it has its limitations, but I'm just under 314K now after only 4 months since I started this new blog. The main method for driving traffic, especially through SEO, that I have been using is content syndication. I am about to start a new discussion on this topic as I have searched and not found anything so far.
Re: Might be Of Interest - Freelancing Appealing to More Workers Re: Might be Of Interest - Freelancing Appealing to More Workers - Does anybody have any experience of using freelancing as a strategy for increasing exposure to your main Internet marketing business? I'm thinking in particular of freelance article writers who might be able to cross sell to their clients. Is it a viable strategy? How do you go about it? What are the pitfalls?
What do you want to achieve? What do you want to achieve? - Hi Evan Can you work out what you want to achieve and whether you can achieve it by any of those 3 options, or which option would help you achieve your goals faster? Number 1 allows you to retain full control of your advertising and you can allow/deny advertises at will without having to pay anyone else, so you keep 100% of your advertising revenue. You would need to find someone good for number 2 as you don't want to advertise the wrong type of companies on your website nor do you want someone working for you who misrepresents your organisation. You will also need time to work out an employment package and how the person will be rewarded after making a sale etc. If you are time poor and do not want the responsibility of trying to find advertisers this may be the option. Is the percentage take a small price to pay in return for receiving quality advertisers and the extra amount of revenue you could be receiving? If so, this would be the preferable option.
Re: What would you do with your last $1000? Re: What would you do with your last $1000? - [quote="BuzzAroundBooks":i5h604q8]If your business was struggling and you were down to your last $1000 in your business bank account and you still had savings in your personal chequing account, what would you do with that $1000?[/quote:i5h604q8] Well... it always depends on why the business is struggling! If it's just a downtime with hope of an economic upturn just around the corner, I'd reinvest the $1,000 in the business. If I'd been struggling for years and there was just no interest in the business at all... I'd give it up and go out and buy something fun! I think there's a thread around here somewhere... when should you know [i:i5h604q8]when [/i:i5h604q8]it's time to get out of a failing business, or is there always hope to turn a failing business around...
