How to Make Money Online: The Fundamentals

This article has one intention and one intention only, that is to tell you the truth about how to make money online.

If you are completely new to Internet Marketing this little document is going to help you avoid a lot of pain, frustration, despair and failure.

If you have already been suffering through those things this article will help put an end to them once and for all and finally allow you to make some money.

You need to know what I call the core fundamentals.

There is only really one way to make money online and this is by selling your own products or services.

There are variations but you don't need to know the variations you just need to know the fundamentals.

So let me give you a very blunt explanation of how to make money online and then we can get into the specifics.

It's quiet simply really.

The first thing you need to do is enter a niche (I recommend the Internet Marketing niche) and create a product. Then you obviously need a website to sell your product, then you need to generate traffic to your website to make sales.

That's really all you need to do.

Create products and sell them to your market over and over again.

You see the way to make money online will always stay the same, it is the process I just outlined above and it will remain evergreen.

The only difference is people will create their own variations of methods and turn them into products to sell themselves.

So let's make this nice and simple:

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THE CORE FUNDAMENTALS

They will work for anyone and they will work every time.

I recommend the Internet Marketing niche because it is such a large Market to enter. Complete newbies can enter this niche, make a bunch of mistakes and still make money.

There is a huge demand that will never die. It allows flexibility to create products on different topics within the IM niche eg. traffic product, copywriting product, product creation product etc.

There is also a large group of JV partners who understand the business and can make you very successful.

It took me a few years until I "got it". Since then I have never looked back.

I wasted my time with content sites, with adsense, affiliate programs ,adwords and niche marketing.

I went round and round in circles and hardly made a dime.

It wasn't until I thought to myself maybe I should sell make money products instead of buy them that I started to make real money.

The IM world is a very tricky world because of all of the over-hyped sales letters and product launches. The thing is these have been studied and the best guys have these down to a science.

They know exactly what human emotions trigger people to buy and they know exactly how to make you feel those emotions.

That is why whenever a new product comes out from one of the big boys who get it it's extremely hard NOT to buy their product even if you can't afford it.

What you need to do is STOP BUYING PRODUCTS

Don't buy the guru's products learn how to sell like the guru's sell their products.

One thing that is probably popping up in your mind right now is how can I ethically sell money making products when I have no clue about how to make money online.

Well here is where the good part comes in, I do know how to make money online. All you need to teach are the core fundementals which are listed below.

Simply pick one, research everything about it and release it and you will be helping people succeed.

I am sure you have heard this before but the majority of people who buy your product won't actually use it.

So what this means is NOT create a crappy product because odds are people won't use it anyway.

But create and AWESOME product so the few who do use it will actually be successful.

How do you do that?

You teach stuff that works time and time again. You can sell sofware products or digital product from clickbank but the same principle applie.

But here is where people get confused, they think they need to go out and find all these new crazy unheard of methods to be successful.

The truth is you don't.

You just have to keep teaching the core fundamentals.

I could create nothing but traffic products for the rest of my life and I would still be wildly successful because traffic is a core fundamental and it will always be in huge demand.

Frank Kern, arguably the most well-known internet marketer recently released a $2000 course on list building.

List building is NOTHING new. It has been around for years and years.

So why does he sell a course about list building?

Because list building works.

It has been proven time and time again.

If people build a big responsive list they are going to be successful.

So all Frank has to do is teach people how to build that list and those that actually follow through will have a big list and be a success.

This is how Frank has thousands of raving fans.

Because those who do follow his teachings are successful.

But he is not teaching anything new or groundbreaking he is just teaching the core fundamentals and that is all you have to teach too.

Look at John Reese, his traffic secrets courses. Traffic, a basic core fundamental that has been around for ages. Nothing new or groundbreaking just solid information that if people follow through with they will see results.

You will notice that the most successful people in this industry are always coming out with new products .

There is a reason for that, they are following the core fundamentals and simply rinsing and repeating.

This is how it looks in a step by step fashion:

• Create a product
• Build a website
• Build a list
• Generate traffic
• Make sales

Those are the fundamental principles used to be successful online.

You should write that list down on a piece of paper and put it somewhere so you will see it every day because that is the main goal, that is the grand master plan and that is how the big name guru's have been making millions of dollars year after year.

So those 5 points above are all you need to focus on if you want to become successful online.

If you are not successful yet what you need to do is learn those core fundamentals and apply them to your business.

In my opinion building a list is probably the most important simply because it's such a powerful asset and once you have a list you can do so much with it. A big responsive list is the closest thing to having push button targeted traffic.

Imagine having a list of 100,000 people and then launching a new membership site. All you need to do is launch the site to your list and you are going to have a boat load of paying members bringing you passive income each month.

A new product, a new WSO, a new report, a new forum, a webinar, a coaching program.

All you need to do is send out a promo to your list and you get instant results.

So building a list is vital but at the same time to build a list you kind of need a website, generate traffic and a product to give away to actually get people to opt-in.

So the core fundamentals kind of tie in together but if you are thinking about where to start I would put out a short little report that you can give away for free and setup a squeeze page and try and send as much traffic as you can to that so you can build a list asap.

A big list will also help you land some big name JV partners for when you want to do those 6-7 figure launches.

The Problem

So the problem is that we get distracted. Those 5 points are enough information on their own but when we have fancy sales video showing us amazing income proof we get all worked up and forget about those 5 fundamentals and get swept up in the latest and greatest product launch.

The truth is that all these products, at least in the Internet Marketing niche, are just variations of the above 5 points.

The Internet Marketing niche is a funny one, essentially you make money by teaching people how to make money. Which is a great opportunity for sellers but the consequence of that is massive confusions and information overload.

This is why I cannot stress to you enough, write down those 5 fundamentals and treat them as if they were your bible.

Every new product out there is just a variation of the fundamentals, people will follow the formula above every time, it just so happens that when they come to creating a product (in the Internet Marketing niche) the topic can be one of the fundamentals.

There are countless products on traffic generation, sales formulas, copywriting etc.

But once you learn these fundamentals you don't need to buy the latest jazzed up version, you already know enough.

You need to start taking action.

The number one reason people fail online is information overload. People have no clue where to start, what to do and even if what they are doing is right.

So by focusing on the core fundamentals this will solve the problem of information overload for you once and for all.

By comparing everything against the core fundamentals you will learn how you can filter through all the useless information and only focus on the information that you actually need.

This will eliminate confusion and that feeling of being overwhelmed, the Internet Marketing world is an extremely profitable one but it can also be a very scary one.

We also know all the common problems people face when they try and make money online.

From being overwhelmed to lacking motivation, to fear of failure. There are a lot of reasons why people don't success and let's be honest, the concept of sitting behind your computer and making more money than you would at your job is a pretty crazy concept and it definitely is NOT the norm.

So to have fear, self-doubt and anxiety creep in is something we all go through.

But it's extremely important to solve these problems or else they will cripple you.

Having a plan to follow will eliminate those problems for you, knowing the REAL way people make all that money should give you the confidence to go on and succeed.

In today's modern world distractions are coming at us all the time, it's a lot easier to just sit on the couch and watch TV than it is to build your business.

You need to make time and make a commitment to your business. Yes it can get overwhelming when you have no idea what you are doing but that is the purpose of this document.

By the way one last thing. Once you have the whole core fundamentals thing down do product launches.

Product launches are a great pay day and you can literally do 2,3,4 even 5 product launches per year.

Obviously you need to work your way up to that stage which is why I say getting a list is so important because one of the main factors in getting the big boys to promote for you is by offering to promote for them. So a list really is your biggest asset.

Well, I have learned from realhomebasedsuccess dot com that there are home based business opportunities and ideas that could be our option such as: -Selling Goods or Providing Services Online -Making Money through Direct Marketing -Becoming an Affiliate Marketer -Getting Paid on a Click Thru but I was thinking which is the best one and most effective in terms of generating consistent Ongoing Profits. What do you think? do you have any insights?

Re: Which would you start: a Blog or Online Community? - It is a difficult decision to make. Lets start it this way - What are you more interested in? Money? or Friends? or Both? If its purely Money, then Blog might be an appropriate answer. But consider this - It will be people (visitors) that will bring traffic to your blog and then Money will follow. This will be possible after a time and during this time it will be your friends who will be the starters. If you are looking for friends only, then its true that not many will be interested in knowing how you have beaten them in the game or the other way round. So it will be preferable to have a Forum where they can share ideas with you and others. But you can share your insider knowledge with them and invite comments from your Blog. You can also put up information on what others (including your friends) don't know about Tennis. The blog you create can provide News, Inside Information and also Techniques that can be used by the new entrants in the world of Tennis.
