Right after a website has been launched, it will just sit out there waiting to be indexed, ranked and found by your visitors. This is usually the stage where online business owners look for efficient and effective page optimization procedures to generate more traffic. Some of the more common methods used are video marketing, article/blog creation and management and social bookmarking. A good internet marketing idea that you should also consider because of its popularity is social network marketing.

It is only normal to filter out the optimization methods that will produce the best results since there are many different ones to choose from. For business owners that only have a limited amount of resources and time to spend, choosing the best search engine optimization techniques will make sense in the long run. You should be open to other techniques and strategies though and consider the other methods that can be used to your benefit.

For example, you may start using articles and blogs to push your marketing effort forward. This can be done by hiring writers or writing your own marketing content with related keywords incorporated with them. These items can then be submitted and published in article directories that provide back links for your articles and resource boxes.

If you look at things more closely, you will realize that search engine optimization share very similar benefits with each other. All of them, for example, improve the creation of back links for marketing purposes. Overall, this is the most important part in promoting a business that operates online because this is what websites need for indexing and page ranking. With a good internet marketing idea that will grab the attention of engine bots, you will be able to experience a much better website traffic in the days to come.

Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.

You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way, best wishes, Mal.

It is true that with the every day gadgets, services and products that we use, it is easy to look at them just for what they are and not what they could be. We should always be on the look out for ideas that we can explore or existing products that we can maybe improve or re-design and that is also true with Internet Marketing. regards, Mal.
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
