Entrepreneur Management
Small business owners and operates that also includes entrepreneurs in general have contributed a lot to our economy today. This is because we need their innovative skills and risk-taking abilities to generate wealth, improve employment rate and drive the economy forward. Despite their positive contributions, it is still fair to say that they can become more successful if they have recognized the importance of good entrepreneur management. The skills that they use to start a venture are not the same skills that are required in the long run.
It is not an easy decision for entrepreneurs, especially owners of small businesses that have worked hard, to hand over their control to another person. Some think that it is the company, idea, product or service that they need to retain control of to become successful. They still do not understand that the time will always come wherein new skills are needed by the business in order to go forward to the next stage.
Many venture capitalists or investors place a huge premium on the quality of entrepreneur management whenever they make a new decision to invest or not. Many of these experienced business people believe that having a quality management regime with a marginal product or service is a much better choice compared to other products or services that has their inventor or innovator still in charge.
There is a particular skill set that is important for people that fall under the management category. A lot of business owners and entrepreneurs today have little experience in motivating and managing people and this is a critical issue for the company. In order to increase competitiveness against the accelerating change of taste from consumers demands that there should be organizational leaders capable of handling these challenges.
The entire success of the organization lies in the commitment of its personnel and their ability to yield high productivity that ranges from the senior management to the rank and file. The ability to achieve goals and objectives when speaking in long terms depend on the performance of each employee involved. There should be an understanding of motivation and the right skills necessary in order to create an environment wherein everyone can work willingly and to the best of their abilities. This is where interpersonal skills come in but are lacking often in the entrepreneurs and owners we see today.
You can gain a lot of benefit from having trained workers under you. Even if your competition are using the most advanced technology available today yet lack proper entrepreneur management, your people will still nullify them with their management skills in the long run. Remember that management is the link between employees and increased commitment, productivity and many more. It is important that there should be a competent management system available to secure the success of the enterprise.

Re: what position to request?
- What do you think of:
Executive Manager?
Director of Product Management?
I am not interested in working as a freelancer. As I mentioned, the purpose of what I am doing is to get involved into a startup that may become successful in the future. This is a situation when a group of people get together to launch something promising and invest into this their time and energy and even may be money.
