In our society, the media has a lot of influence in changing people's opinions over one thing. An activity that has been garnering its attention is social responsibility that some people do in order to gain favor among the masses. The government can only provide a limited amount of financial assistance to legitimate groups that are looking for funding in activities that they pursue. Therefore, there is a rise of expectations that outside sources will be the ones providing the assistance to these groups. And an entrepreneur or businesses that donate to any of the funded groups are going to get a boost in exposure to potential customers and their target market. Here we will discuss if the responsibilities of an entrepreneur include the society's needs. Normally, assistance for these groups can be found in business sectors. But the disadvantage of these companies is that the corporate world is tactless in generating creative ways on how to assist communities. Due to the sheer size of some firms, they do not have a local community to focus their attention on for their funding. Large businesses are understood to not have a personal touch when dealing with their customers that is why there is a larger need for small businesses to provide a more personal assistance.

When it comes to entrepreneurs and the community, issues such as should they give back and their duty to provide for the society arise. This may be a difficult question to answer but one that should be asked in every entrepreneur. Yet the responsibilities of an entrepreneur should always revolve around keeping the business running smoothly and ensuring its success. The business owner will be happy and will give the marketer more opportunities to do more.

The entrepreneur is already helping the local community by running a successful business as the economy is being stimulated by its actions. Although this may already seem as a good reason, stimulating the economy is not sufficient. Entrepreneurs want to be the ones controlling the business thus; they also want to be the one making a difference in their local community. It is in this kind of perspective that an entrepreneur can work within a philosophy and put passion on their jobs. An example includes a mediocre entrepreneur walking away from a high ROI business opportunity in order to keep the integrity of the business intact.

So we figure out that an entrepreneur does have a social responsibility to give back to the local community. But before they decide on doing so, they must first keep their economy alive by running a successful business. Sound business etiquette should also be practiced by the entrepreneur in order to bring a high integrity level for the business. It also makes them a favorable donator for agencies that require funding. In a financial way of talking, the responsibilities of an entrepreneur can benefit the fabric of the community in ways that are significant. Aside from that, each entrepreneur should look into themselves if they are still capable of providing a higher sense of duty to their community.

How to create BUZZ? - As a small startup we need to be able to create Buzz around our product, but we haven't had tons of success. Despite being written up in the Toronto Sun, Metro News, Entrepreneur Start Ups Magazine and listed as a resource in Entrepreneur Magazine people in Toronto still don't know about us.
