Young Rich Entrepreneurs

In business, ingenuity goes a long way. And as what these individuals were able to discover, it also pays a load of cash. At a very early age, these businessmen already knew how to make an impact. They were able to gain foresight to what enterprises would be profitable and dominate at those niches. Thus, it is no wonder why they came to be young rich entrepreneurs.

1. Mark Zuckerberg

This 26 years old college drop out is one of the founders of the popular social networking site, Facebook. On paper, this man’s wealth is believed to amount to $4 billion dollars. Talk about hitting it big time!

Following the footsteps of fellow Harvard alumni, Bill Gates, Zuckerberg stepped out of the walls of the university after having realized the potential of a college project. As a budding entrepreneur, Zuckerberg saw how valuable socialization was and saw that his creation can be made use for connecting students from different universities.

Facebook first catered to college kids, and then highschool undergraduates. After, a few companies were entertained. By 2006, the site was launched to the public and now, it caters to a diverse demographic of users, even spawning a new communication and socialization trend.

2. Chad Hurley, Steven Chen and Jawed Karim

Sound familiar? Yes, these are the three geniuses that brought us Youtube! Aged 34, 32 and 31, respectively, these men didn’t have the faintest idea that what they were about to introduce to the public would spark a global phenomenon. A video-sharing site seemed like a feasible and sustainable business venture given their jobs at PayPal that time. But having gained massive patronization from different people around the world, Youtube became a hit and even attracted the attention of Google, who bought it on November 2006 for 1.65 billion dollars. Now these young rich entrepreneurs serve as an inspiration to thousands of aspiring businessmen around the world.

3. Blake Ross

Where would we be today without the help of this software developer? Creator of the Mozilla web browser, Ross paved the way for easier and more manageable internet surfing. With an estimated net work of $120 million dollars at the age of 22, he is currently in a leave of absence from Stanford University so he can concentrate on his work.

4. Angelo Sotira

This young rich entrepreneur serves as the 26-year-old CEO to deviantArt, an online community focused on artworks, from photography to traditional art, flash imaging, digital art and literature. It hosts about 14 million members and is worth 75 million dollars as of 2010.

5. Matt Mullenweg

At 22 years old, Mullenweg founded WordPress, the popular opensource blogging software. Now 26, he is estimated to be worth $40 million dollars. Aside from WordPress, Mullenweg also launched Automattic back in 2005.

6. Kevin Rose

If you are familiar with search engine optimization and internet marketing, then you might have already come across this guy’s site. Digg is one of the most popular content-sharing sites in the internet today that has about 31 million dollar in estimated revenue. Back in 2006, Rose was featured by BusinessWeek as the “kid who made 60 million in 18 months”. It was the feat that would soon make him a young rich entrepreneur himself.
