Article Overview: If you're spending the time reading posts like this one, then I'm going to assume that you're interested in improving your blog, or perhaps driving some additional traffic to it. One thing that you have to realize is that we each have different skills, as well as different writing styles which is what attracts our readers to us, and brings them back when we publish new content. You're fellow bloggers are all out there working hard to promote, and build their own blogs as well, and are continually striving to build their readership base as well. There is a way that you can both be of benefit to each other, and that is by commenting on each other's blogs!

Blog Commenting

A great way to introduce yourself to other bloggers out there who share your passion for writing about a certain topic is to spend some time reading through the posts that they've written, and leaving some quality comments. It's a great way of just sort of saying hello in a way that benefits both of you, and opens you up to a whole new audience that you might otherwise not have met.

If you're spending the time reading posts like this one, then I'm going to assume that you're interested in improving your blog, or perhaps driving some additional traffic to it.

Google loves content, and by spending the time to leave a relevant comment on someone else's blog, you are providing that person with some addition content and at the same time possibly contributing to the discussion that might be taking place over there already which will in turn perpetuate even more content through the discussion.

In return for taking the time to leave a relevant comment, you get a chance to do three things that are important in the development of your own blog.

1. You get a link back to your website that the readers (and site owner) can then follow through to visit, which is where you get the chance to convert them into long term readers by showing them what wonder content you've written and provided for their viewing pleasure!

2. You are introducing yourself to the blog owner, and the readers of that particular blog.

3. And last, you are afforded an opportunity to show your new blogging friends what a thoughtful and knowledgeable blogger you are by taking the time to leave a relevant comment.

If you're an active blogger, or aspiring to become one, I'd encourage you to start participating in the discussion that are taking place all around you, and soon you'll discover that your readership levels are growing more and more with each passing month.

With an estimated 400 million active blogs going into 2011 the blogging community is getting larger day by day, but what an amazing community it is, and how filled with amazing people who just happen to hold some of the internet's most valuable content. Their individual, and combined knowledge!

Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy - Hi David, I agree about the Blogosphere. You have a smaller group that Blog, but do so on the premise that they think they should, but have never really considered the purpose of their Blog. Then I think there are a few SEO or Internet Marketing types that see Blogging as just another link building strategy. But the largest group of Bloggers, tend to be people who enjoy writing and discussing their topics of interest. Blogging is good for link building, but the true Blogger is a breed apart from the rest. They want to dialog, to debate, to have feedback and they are very willing to link to other worthwhile conversations that are relevant to their topic. I agree with you. These group of Bloggers obviously are passionate about their writing and together, they create huge conversation trails interactive and travel from Blog to Blog. But the evidence is clear with this group that loves what they write about. With comments enabled on a Blog and having a Blog tuned to a specific purpose you already have the evidence of original Social Media.

Re: Blog commenting - does it worth? Re: Blog commenting - does it worth? - Commenting on do follow blogs & popular blogs is good. But usually i don't spend much time, very few minutes in a day or week. But it is also important how value you are adding to that post and on the blogs related to your blog niche. That makes sense ! Thanks, Mr. Ven
EvanCarmichael.com suggestion EvanCarmichael.com suggestion - Maybe I missed it but I would like to suggest that a Blog be created to support the Forum. The idea is that in the blog you put in snippets of some of the biggest conversations with a 'read more' link to the forum itself. Setting up the Blog and clipping some conversations onto it wouldn't take very long.
Jen's Blog - Spam protection Jen's Blog - Spam protection - Jen, I like the Blog and just posted a comment to one of your articles. From my experience you need to implement some sort of SPAM capture tools. i use them on my Blog and it's been a life saver as I'm getting hit by spam atleast 5 times a day. I use Wordpress and they have plugins like Captcha and SPAM Karma installed.
