It is certainly nothing these days to ‘tweet’ a quick, “Hey there is a sale going on at Macy's! Come quick!” But before you go marketing you product or service on your mobile phone you must stay within the guidelines.

Come quick!” But before you go marketing you product or service on your mobile phone you must stay within the guidelines. Check with the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) atmmaglobalbefore you start your marketing campaigns. The benefit of mobile marketing is you can send and receive messages (sms), videos, music, and pictures. You can even check your email on your phone so email marketing is also a possibility. Just like Internet marketing though, you must have permission to ‘pitch your product’ so once again, check with the guidelines. Anything you can do on your pccan bedone on your phone pretty much, butthere area few down sides.

Mobile bandwidth varies with each phone so if you send a cool marketing video to your customers, only a handfulmay beable to view it. Also the screen on the phone is much smaller so there is only so much information you can send. The best thing about this is the receiver gets promotions that are ‘to the point’ and can avoid most of the ‘hype’ you get online on your pc. When doing mobile marketing, be sure to check with your wireless carriers if there are anyguidelinesthatmust befollowed to stay within compliance regulations. All in all, mobile marketing is becoming a fast growing marketing strategy and not incorporating it; your business may lose on a lot of potential customers. Thankyou and God Bless.
