Facebook is a social networking website that has gone global. They are actually privately owned by Facebook, Inc. and was founded by Mark Zuckerberg. Friends and family can now keep in touch with updates in their busy tech savvy lives. While you can only have one profile on Facebook, you can have as many business pages you want which you can link to your profile. A simple strategy which you can incorporate is make a business page for each product line of merchandise you have and ping the page every time you update information on that product. Twitter is another social networking service that allows its users to send and read short messages known as tweets. Users can also send tweets from their phone as well as the website. This comes in handy when you ave a product that just went on sale for a limited time only and want to get the word out as quickly as possible. You will want to tweet about it several times a day as people also log online at different times a day. A simple and easy strategy to use with Twitter is to search your favorite clubs or target customers and follow them. They in turn will follow you and you will end up with a wider customer base who is interested in what you have to offer. Tip: Don't be just all about selling your product either. It helps to add witty, positive comments periodically to keep the Twitter atmosphere light and keep your followers entertained as well.

A Blog or "web log" is really a type of website and can be a personal diary or used for business purposes also. Blogging has become "the" way to communicate about something personal or about some hobby or business to virtually anybody the blogger chooses. The blogger may set their blog on private for instance, so that only friends and family may read and enjoy. Blogger is one of the easiest for setting up and posting about your business or interests. A simple technique is to add a reader comment section to your blog. This will give you insight on what to add to your product line, what to improve on and what level of satisfaction your customers are getting with your merchandise. It helps if you post the question on your blog to get the specific feedback you need which is valuable to your business.
