There are a few free analytics
tools out there like Google Analytics, Yahoo Web Analytics and Webalizer.
Google Analytics is the easiest to set up and use. Google provides lessons on
how to read the chart also. Google Web Analytics includes more advanced
features like click behavior so you can optimize your ads on your webpage. You
can track most of your sites and pages using this tool.
Once you find the web analytics
tool you are going to use, you have to install the tracking code. Copy the code
they give you when signing up, then go to the page or pages you want to track.
On each page, you must open your editing tool and paste the tracking code
immediately before the closing
