Article #46 What Do Leaders Strive Everyday For?
As my good friend John Jackson says every morning on our
wake up calls, “strength of self-mastery, strength of action and strength of
relationships are what leaders strive for everyday.”
Strength of self-mastery is the
most important thing leaders strive for everyday. They want to control their
own actions to do well in their own businesses. They train their mindset to
those of other top leaders and successful entrepreneurs. Self-mastery is
control of focus and persistence toward attaining goals. Goals they set
everyday and master. Self-mastery is also mastering physical as well as mental
activitiy to achieve the highest performance because the leaders will not
settle for less than perfect.
Strength of action is the second
most important thing leaders do daily to be the best of the best. After they
get their mindset and physical well being taken care of they have to put that
to use and perform daily actions that bring them closer to their goals. They do
not waste time doing things that take their focus away from what they
ultimately are trying to accomplish. The key in strength of action is action
itself. Daily and consistant action and lots of it. True leaders do not just
treat their businesses as a hobby. It is a business and they “show up” and take
massive action daily.
Strength of relationship is the
third important ingredient leaders must master. Top leaders know that it is the
relationships they have that keep integrity in check. The quality of the
relationships that help leaders grow by leaps and bounds. True leaders know it
is not only what they can teach, but also rather what they can learn from each
quality relationship that is important and gives leaders their strength.
“Leaders constantly want to learn,” says Brian Parsley, and I agree, “Yes, we
do!”
God Bless
