Mr. Trump also said, “Thinking expansively includes seeing what is possible and making it happen.” Start by putting ten dollars away for every one hundred dollars you earn at Walmart or job you are at. It sounds like a lot especially in this economy but for every dollar you save that dollar earns you your independence in the future. Think about what you really want, that new car or house? Start putting the rent money aside every month as if you are already living in that house. In a few years time you will be able to put that money on that house you want. But don’t stop there! Put money aside for that car and your college education too! The best thing to do is start. It may be little money right now, but just start putting something away. Then forget it’s in there. Better yet have your bank do it automatically for you by putting it into a savings account when you deposit your paycheck! If you don’t see the money you won’t spend it. The future is uncertain but if you have a job you can ensure a good one for you and your family, but start today!

Walmart - Hi there, It is amazing to hear that news. I am in the UK. Some five years ago Walmart bought ASDA Superstores. We do most of our shopping there. So I have a little interest in Walmart. Eearlier this year I spend a few weeks in the US. I visited Walmart on several occasions. I was impressed, as they have one section for Massive Bulk Purchases. One needs a registration for that priviledge. Are other Markets doing the same? Is that a growing section? It is quite natural that there are competitors. Re: Top 9 Franchises for 2009 - GT, That seems to be the way it goes as stores get more popular. In the U.S. we have Walmart. They've been accused of selling things made in sweat shops over seas, but when times are tough it's hard not to buy from them when the alternatives are twice as high. There's probably a Walmart in every town over population of 10,000.
Re: Gift Cards, Use 'em or Lose 'em - This is a topic I was just discussing to someone the other day. Yes, stores are pushing the gift cards because if you don't use them or forget about them, that's big profit for them. Millions are made every year for expired or never used gift cards. I know that if you use a Walmart gift card, but don't spend all of it, and then wait months to use it again, the balance will be less if not zero. This brings me to a story I just heard last night on the news. A Walmart employee was registering gift cards for people, and instead of putting the amount on the cards, she was pocketing the money for herself and then using it to buy her own gift cards. Make sure to always keep your receipts and check to make sure the amount is actually on the card. Alan
