Build Your List with Joint Venture Giveaway Events

As a website owner and full time internet marketer I am always looking for new and effective ways to build my mailing list. I've tested a number of paid lead sources but often find the results very disappointing mainly due to unresponsive prospects. I use a lot of different methods to build my list ranging from splash pages, having an optin box on every page on my website, traffic exchanges, pay per click advertising and Joint Venture Giveaway events.

The focus of this article is Joint Venture(JV) Giveaway events. Not only are these events free to join, they are also very effective at building your list.

If you are not familiar with these events, basically they allow you to build your list by offering a free gift. There are usually two phases to a giveaway event:

1) Phase 1 - JV partners join, add their gifts and refer other JV partners.

2) Phase 2 - Giveaway event launches. Owners and JV partners invite people to join and download gifts

The beauty of these events is that there are often thousands of people joining them. This means that you have the potential for your gift to be seen by all these people and of course the chance for these people to optin to your list.

All the events are free to join but they will all offer an upgrade. It can be worth upgrading, especially in a big giveaway event as you will get more benefits and your gift will either get shown more frequently, or higher up in the list, resulting in more signups.

Your success in a JV giveaway event will depend on a few things:

1) How good your gift is

2) The image of your gift (if people are looking at a lot of gifts they will be attracted to the images of the gifts)

3) Whether you upgrade or not

4) How many JV partners you signup

5) How many members you signup

Some or all of the above will have an impact on the number of subscribers you get from the event.

When you sign up for an event remember to read the rules. Although they all work in a similar way, some have very specific rules. For example some events will downgrade your account if you don't refer any members. This is because JV Giveaway events depend on the JV members promoting the event. Other events may only allow you to add gifts that you are the author of. Just be sure to check for these types of rules before signing up to make sure that you are not caught out.

You can also make money from these events. Since all JV Giveaway events have an upgrade option, you will receive a commission if you refer a JV partner or a member who upgrades. Some events also allow you to add special offers for your own products. These features are nice, but the main reason to join these events is for the new subscribers.

In some events I have had as much as a 300 new subscribers to my list, so it is definitely worth the effort to add a gift and promote the event. It will probably take an hour or so of your time, but you could end up with enough new subscribers and sales to make it worthwhile.

Don't leave your Wallet on the table Don't leave your Wallet on the table - Targetzone, Evan has great points on targeting you package. Also I read the revenue model you mentioned and i believe you are leaving a lot of money on the table. Aisde from making just $15/sale of a package you could also be making income from sales generated after the people use the coupon on their second and ongoing visits to the Service/Product company. I've sent you a PM - We can talk more advanced strategies. BTW - I'm a Dollarmakers Member and have taken the Joint Venture BootCamp 101 and highly recommend it if you wish to pursue this idea. PM me privately and we can talk.

I mean if i really am going to hand over a lot of sensitive information to be handled by staff of your choosing, I'll need to know how you operate with total transparency.[/quote:3738ldxh] Ringo, 1) Send me an email with your proposal and if I like it I shall disclose all that your need. 2) That's my USP! Total transparency is a must when JVing with someone. Let me know your proposal and we may discuss it. In regards to staff dealing with your sensitive information, compartmentalize the data. Have different teams deal with only a section of the whole picture. [quote="ideasuniversity":3738ldxh]How long have you been doing this? But just an fyi that you will be seen as a spammer if you post the same thing on a bunch of different forums, especially if you post it more than once on any one forum. You should be careful about that because a lot of people are members of the same forums.
