First of all let me say right up front that you are in business for yourself. Ultimately the success you experience will come down to your ability to implement what you learn.

A professional mentor can teach you how to build an Internet business correctly. They can also save you thousands of dollars in mistakes because chances are they probably have already made those mistakes.

Think of a mentor as a coach or a teacher. If you played sports in school you probably had a coach that had a tremendous impact on whether your team won or lost.

However it is interesting that a coaches win-loss record is only as good as the players performing on the field. The same thing is true with a professional mentor.

When you receive mentoring it is your job to take what you've learned and put it to use in your business. As a business owner hopefully you are entrepreneurial by nature.

Entrepreneurs are people who are able to overcome roadblocks in their business. ou will experience plenty of those and should be prepared for them.

Entrepreneurs are people who are focused on their long term goals. However, they are also able to set short term goals and work on those on a consistent basis.

Professional mentoring is great in helping you stay focused on the short term goals. When you are meeting online on a regular basis you can make adjustments based on what is happening in the marketplace.

As you hit your goals you can set new ones and continue to move your business forward. A mentor is somebody who can help you in that process. Sometimes you can get lost on the World Wide Web and not be able to see the forest from the trees.

There are different levels of professional mentoring. You can join a membership site for a reasonably priced monthly fee. This gives you access to mentors in a more personal way than you would in a public discussion forum.

You can also sign up for personal one on one coaching. There are various pricing levels available in these type of programs as well. You may want to think of this as education costs just as though you would if you were going to college to start a new career.

Professional mentoring does not guarantee Internet business success. Ultimately that is up to you. However having a mentor can improve the odds of you succeeding if you are willing to do the work.

But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time.
