This is definitely something you can do at home. It may not bring a full time income but it is certainly something which can result in a nice second income on a part time basis.

You can find companies who are looking for people to fill out surveys by searching the Internet. You should avoid any companies who want you to pay money to complete these surveys.

In most cases they are scams. But you can find many websites which offer people the opportunity to complete surveys and they cost nothing to enroll.

Once you do so, you are usually given choices of surveys to complete. You must be qualified to complete the surveys.

In other words if you haven't used the product or service or don't fit into the desired category of participants, then you won't be able to fill out those particular surveys.

So you may have to search out and get qualified for different surveys. So you can spend the least amount of time searching for the right ones over time you will learn to spot which surveys you should be qualified for.

Completed surveys pay different amounts of money depending upon the overall value of the product being surveyed and the expected amount of time to complete it.

You will have to check the particular website of the survey company to see how often you get paid and in what form. Some companies pay by check and others by Paypal or direct deposit.

Taking a year out to try and start your own business is a great idea. Taking a year out after college is a well established option so I guess it doesn't prejudice your chances of getting a job should you wish to do so later on; it probably improves your chances if you've been getting valuable experience of managing a business and of course, if all goes well, you won't need to find out.
