When a person first starts out in affiliate marketing they are just happy to make their first sale. They are not really concerned with how much money they make on it. Over time they begin to pay more attention to how much money they are really earning on the products they sell.

If you are an affiliate marketer you will find that the highest paying affiliate programs can make your life so much easier. Here are a few examples of how that can work for you.

1. Sell digital information products and earn up to 75% commission on them. ClickBank.com is an affiliate network that has digital products that pay up to 75% on your sales.

This is possible because once a digital product is created there are no ongoing costs for it. This is different than selling a physical product that must be manufactured and shipped.

With digital products they can instantly be downloaded and your commissions calculated and paid on a weekly basis. At least CB pays weekly and by direct deposit too! If you're going to sell digital information products you might as well earn as much money as you possibly can.

2. Sell products that pay a residual income. For example if you sell a membership to a training site that pays you a commission every month, you can make a lot of money over the life of that membership.

Programs that pay an ongoing residual income become one of the highest paying affiliate programs because of the money you make on the life of the customer. There are many excellent programs like this you can join and make money with.

3. Sell big-ticket items. You may earn a smaller commission percentage when you join an affiliate program like this. However the total amount you earn could be very large.

For example if you sell a product that costs $10,000, and you earn a 5% commission, you will be making $500 for that one sale. This takes a little different skill level than selling ebooks for $50, but once you master this you can make a lot more money.

4. Join two-tier affiliate programs and earn twice as much money. With these high paying affiliate programs you make money on your own sales as well as the sales of affiliates you recruit.

It only takes a handful of go getters to earn you a nice income on a monthly basis. These type of programs can turn into very high paying ones as you recruit more affiliates.

These are several examples of how the highest paying affiliate programs can make your life so much easier. Mastering one or more of these affiliate marketing models can earn you a very nice living on the Internet.

There are pros and cons to Affiliate Marketing, just as there are to any business. As has been suggested, he best policy is to proceed with caution and do some research before jumping in. As Carol has recommended, this topic thread in the EvanCarmichael.com forum is the ideal place to ask questions and seek further input on available Affiliate Marketing programs. If a person is serious about building an online business and is interested in Affiliate Marketing plans, they should approach the process as they would any other form of business. The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.

Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - You made some very good points here Jeff and I agree with you, Affiliate Marketing should not be something that you concentrate all your efforts into. As i said earlier I have learned a lot with Affiliate Marketing and continue to do so, and it has helped me tremendously to understand what I am going to have to do in my chosen niche(s).
