Top 5 Home Based Business Ideas for 2011

Starting a home based business can be both scary and exciting. The idea of working for yourself is something that many people dream about, yet very few people tackle the idea. These days, starting a home based business has never been easier. There is so much opportunity out there for you to take on, and all it takes is an idea and some hard work to make your dreams become a reality.

The problem most people have when thinking of starting a business at home is the actual business idea itself. If you need some ideas to get the juices flowing, take a look at these top 5 home based business ideas for 2011. This should help get you in the right direction!

Daycare Service

This type of business isn't going anywhere anytime soon! Parents will always need quality childcare, and if you're good with children, this just may be your cup of tea. You'll need to check with your local government to see what's required to get started (such as any licenses or permits), but other than that, this is a very low cost startup. Check around other daycare services to see what the average rate is and adjust yours accordingly.

Web Services

Do you have any special web building skills? It's easy to get started with a web service business. All you need to do is decide what you want to offer (such as creating content, designing web pages, etc) and start to market yourself. This can be done for next to nothing, enabling you to start your business with a minimal amount of cash.

Errand Service

People are getting busier than ever, making an errand service a great and unique way to earn a living. You can shop, pay bills, pick up dry cleaning, mail items and do other miscellaneous errands for people who don't have the time. Check other services to see what rates you can expect to receive and price yours as you see fit.

Consulting Services

The consulting business is booming, and you can grab your piece of the pie! Are you an expert in anything that you could help coach someone else in? There are consultants for nearly anything out there. All you need to do is find your niche and carve your own path. Start up is relatively low. All you need to do is hustle to find clients!

Cleaning Service

The sky is the limit when it comes to cleaning services. You can work with property management companies to clean up homes before tenants move in and after they move out. Or, you could clean homes for others. Other options are to clean carpets, cars, offices, etc. It's truly up to you. Start up costs depend on what route you decide to go. Either way, it's a long-term business that will always be needed.
