Here are a few helpful hints and tricks that I've learned to generate leads from Facebook.
The better that you get at being an effective communicator and leader on Facebook, the more it will transform your business, income and yourself. Even if you do not have any marketing skills, or background you can still be successful through marketing on Facebook.
Facebook is one of the biggest social networking sites online today. If you have not already signed up for a profile, you are missing out.
First you want to create your Facebook profile. Use your real name. Be honest with the questions and fill out the bio section honestly. Be real, be funny be you.
Upload a picture. Make sure the picture is clear and you appear friendly. Choose a picture of you smiling. This will attract more people.
Join Facebook groups that have similar interests to yours. Whatever your are marketing, it might already have a group that pertains to it so start networking with people there. Add them as a friend and send them a simple introduction message about who you are, you have similar interests and you would like to network.
Do not add everyone you see. Choose 20 new people a day and check out their profiles to make sure they are serious people with similar interests, location and age.
In order to generate followers you must post 25% of your content for business and 75% on other content.
Post things that people will be attracted to, whether they are motivational quotes, questions or pictures, engage others through your updates.
Post one new status update every day. You can also post in groups.
To generate even more followers post your Facebook name on your Twitter updates, forum signatures and place a widget on your blog.

I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
