This article is written with the intention of helping you to get more traffic to your website, and thus, this will in turn generate more income for you. 1. Build backlinks to your website from high PR websites so you are able to increase your page rank. The higher you are able to get your page rank the more traffic you are going to get.

2. Write and submit articles to article directories that are pertinent to your business niche or demographic. Write good content articles on a consistent basis with a link back to your website and you will start to see additional traffic.

3. Determine who your targeted website visitors are. By determining who your targeted traffic is you canbetter target your content and offers to them and make more sales.

4. Do some research and find out what keywords people are using to find what you have to offer. Optimize your website with these keywords and then use them when you update your website.

5. If you will post frequently in the online forums and/or blogs and include your website address and a link to an internal page in your signature you will build some important backlinks.

6. Advertise your site anywhere and everywhere. The more you are able to get your website and name out to the public the more traffic and business you are going to create.

7. It is important to make your website as user friendly as possible. If possible have a site map on your site. This will help people know where to go when they are searching for something in particular.

8. You should offer deals, have giveaways quite often and run specials now and then. This will cause people to become interested in your business and they might become regular visitors.

9. Another way to get more traffic is by using social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon and there are many more. Sites such as these give you a chance to interact with people and let them know who you are and what you do.

10. It is important to keep your website as up to date as possible with new content and new programs.

If you will make it a point to use these tips, it will help you attract visitors and keep those visitors returning. Make it a point to visit your own website regularly to ensure that your visitors are seeing what you intend for them to see. These are just some of the things that will help you get more traffic, but when used regularly they will make a tremendous difference.

I reviewed Traffic Geyser in the latest episode of "David's Den" on my blog (see sig file), included an excellent video review of Traffic Geyser by John Detlif and decided against taking that particular project any further. Still lots to get done!
Re: Alexa Ranking Goals - LOL, I spoke too soon. Within a few hours of my post, Alexa updated the Traffic Rank on the toolbar. Note however that the 3 month Traffic Rank on Alexa.com has still not been updated...
