Consistent Income Producing Activities A Must For Success

When starting your home based business there is so much to learn especially if you are not a seasoned on-line marketer. You spend hours and hours learning new skills, watching tutorials, taking notes on webinars, tapping into conference calls It all seems overwhelming!

Take a deep breath. Have faith, it will get easier.

You are growing and increasing the value that you will soon be able to offer and share with others. Increasing your knowledge and expertise will move you in the positive direction you want to go.

You could spend 24 hours a day learning new skills when first starting out. Make certain that you are disciplined in the actions you take each day in regards to income producing activities. Examples include marketing campaigns, engaging in quality conversations, sharing business cards or promotional information.

Depending on how much time you are available to work your home based business, you will need to make your income producing activities priority. Leverage technology and listen to audios of trainings whenever you are driving to utilize your time more efficiently.

In my home base business, I put myself deliberately in the way of successful leaders. I have daily training and mentorship from some of the industry’s top income producers. Leverage, leverage and more leverage!

Here’s what the top dogs have shared regarding income producing activities

  1. Have at least 5 quality conversations a day.


  1. Create a list each day of 5 income generating activities and don’t go to bed until you have finished them.


  1. Be consistent in your marketing.


  1. Try one marketing strategy consistently for 90 days before implementing a different one. This is most imperative when just starting out.


  1. Share business cards and or promotional materials where ever you go. Leads are everywhere.

Re: Finding AND Keeping Good People Re: Finding AND Keeping Good People - Employee retention or as you mention “Keeping the Good People” is one of the biggest challenges for any growing business. It takes a huge effort from the entrepreneur’s end. I can come up with the following when it comes to KEEPing the good people- 1. Motivation of the employees 2. Recognition of the needs of the employees 3. Activities to make the employees feel valuable towards the organization 4. Make benefits more accessible 5. Offer profit sharing incentives 6. Create clear career paths at the company 7. Consider telecommuting, job sharing and other flexible working arrangements 8. Incentives are essential and they don't have to be huge 9. Have other managers praise an employee's work 10. Be sensitive to the balance between work and private life
