5 Strategies for Maximizing Your List

1. E-mail your leads more frequently- You must feel comfortable connecting more often so that you stay in integrity with who you are as a leader. However, e-mailing your leads daily is the most effective long term strategy. "There is nothing more powerful for back-end sales," according to Home Business Industry Leader Aaaron Rashkin.

2. Mix up the mediums-The more you engage your list with multi sensory messages the more interest you create and followers you will have. We all learn differently. When creating messages that include audio, video and pictures, you will reach a larger audience. Everyday will be like a box of chocolates for your prospects, they'll never know what their going to get. This strategy not only is creates curiosity, it also meets the individual needs of the recipient. There is a higher percentage of visual learners. Including the use of visual medium in your e-mail marketing will allow you better access for building relationships with the people who favour that.

3. Mix up the messages-Provide your list with a variety of styles in your e-mails writing as well. One day you might choose an educational piece. The next day perhaps and inspirational story. If there's a hot topic gone viral in social networks you may choose to write an e-mail that is entertaining. Remember the 80/20 rule, 80% value and content 20% business opportunity.

4. Never address everyone on your list as a group-You have the option to personalize your list for a reason. Use the tool to create a more personable relationship with your potential customer or team member. Your message should be received as though you are having dialogue. If not you will be destroying your rapport in the relationship.

5. Be Authentic-As we are starting out in our business, we most likely have mentors or role models whom we follow, learning by their examples the tools and strategies for success. Eventually you will discover your own voice. Share your stories in your personal experiences from the heart. The right people at the right time will find you, resonating with your message. Trust will be established and belief in who you are as a person.

I've also used PR Leads (paid program) which got me into the New York Times and Forbes. I haven't done much with online press releases - from what I hear they can help you with your SEO but they don't get much mainstream media attention.
