Women Entrepreneur Academy, Maximizing Your Home Business Schedule During Summer Vacation
-
Wake up earlier or stay up later- Depending on what you have on your list of goals each day , week and month during summer vacation, establish a schedule that will work best for you and your family. Take into consideration whether or not your child is an early riser or likes to sleep in. What bedtime would be reasonable for him or her. My soon to be second grader for example will sleep later in the morning if I let him stay up later at night. You’ll have to decide what schedule will work best to meet everyone’s needs for your home business success.
- Itinerant Work- While you are on the move bringing your child to baseball or ballet, perhaps there is something that you can bring with you to do while you are waiting. Obviously we want to be present for our children and in any relationship for that matter. However, if you brought a notebook and jotted down a must do list for the upcoming days or a visualized on what you are creating in between innings or plie, you can set your course.
- Build in Flex Time- You already know how busy schedules can get while raising a family and in your home business. Once you know what must be done each day in order to continue growing your business, make certain to allow yourself flex time built in so you will be successful with your daily outcomes to suit everyone.
- Schedule Time to Play- Children grow up way too fast. You probably started your business from home so you can spend more time with them. Allow for play time and feel great about what you are creating for you and your family. Enjoy and celebrate every second!
- Be Gentle With Yourself- We all have super human abilities as mothers. We are capable of doing amazing things for others. You are not exempt.. Be gentle with yourself if for some reason something doesn’t go as planned. There is probably something that needs to be let go of and it’s creating resistance. Let it go. Recognize that it’s ok & allow yourself the gift of time. Love who you are.
