There are many advantages to working from home and these will depend on which job you choose to do. If you choose to work as a free lance writer or opt to write business plans, much of your work can be done after your children go to sleep allowing you to save on day care and other related expenses. Graphic artists and mystery shoppers often have the same luxury. Other industries though will require that you keep normal business hours. You may still be able to save on day care costs depending on the hours you choose to keep.

When considering online business ideas, you also need to take into account your interests. Do you love to organize things? You may do great as a meeting and event planner or a professional organizer. Those who love animals may wish to go into pet breeding or mobile pet grooming. With so many options out there, you can find a career that you love that combines both your talents and your interests. You will get up each morning excited about heading to work and this enthusiasm will be evident to your customers.

If you are a quiet person who likes to work behind the scenes, you can still find a great legitimate home based business. Many like to take in word processing jobs or work in vacation home swaps. Heremost of the transactions will take place completely online allowing you to remain in the background. If you have a special skill, such as woodworking or sewing, you will only have to meet with the client to ensure you both understand what is needed. The rest of the work will be done in the comfort of your own home. There are many online business ideas to choose from. It's just a matter of finding the one that is right for you.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff

Trent - the new category is "Social Network and Media" which was put in to compliment the Online Businesses category that currently exists. Overall the new categories are: - Looking For, Networking and Events - Review My... - Social Network and Media - Brags and Rants These came as a result of Ringo doing research on other forums and thinking about what could be improved on ours to give a better experience for everyone.
