Are Your Ads Working?

Do you have a business online? Well then I am assuming you are placing ads to get your business exposed to the world, RIGHT? Are your ads working or not? There are only two scenario's here either they are working or not!

If you placed your ad either online or offline and tracked the results, you then will know if they are working or not! If so, then by all means go ahead and place that ad again. But if you didn't get any clicks or even just a few then you realize something went wrong.

The first thing I would check out is to see if you placed the ad in the right place, did you target in on your niche, I will explain this here for you. Your niche is people who regularly buy a service or a product that you have. When you have something people might want or need then you sell it to them. So check into this first.

If you think you found the right site, perhaps you could contact who ever sold you the ads and tell them about the results you received from their site, then ask them what they can do for you. They may run it again for you for free or for a reduced fee. You really don't have anything to loose by giving this a try. Always remember when buying ad space to ask for a deal, tell them you will be placing the ad with them for long-term if you get good results. Contact them directly don't just buy the advertising from the site, it never hurts to try to get a deal.

Also, make sure that your ad is congruent with your landing page. There is nothing worse when you read an ad, and get excited only to find out that you were sent somewhere that had absolutely nothing to do with it. This is important, make sure your ad tells them what to expect when they get to your site.

But before you place that ad again be sure to change a few things in the ad first. Of course you know the headline is the most important part of your ad, so this is where you would start. Try changing the body of the ad little as well. If you feel the wording is aligned with your landing page, may be just try moving the sentences around a little. This may just do the trick.

What ever you decide to do, you must always remember that it takes people on the average 5 to 7 times to see something before they finally buy, so keep on posting those ads. If you keep adjusting them, you will finally find the right ad copy to make them work for you.

In conclusion, I would just like to say anyone can do this if they put their minds to it, by taking action and placing those ads you are ahead of the majority of people who do nothing. So just get started placing and tracking those ads.

Working for yourself means you are investing in your own future, not someone else's, although there is value in working for someone else first to gain experience and confidence. Working for yourself does not automatically mean success, fame and fortune. For most entrepreneurs, it takes much work and dedication to get to the point of financial success and comfort - sometimes years. But the benefit is, again, you know you are investing in yourself and building equity for your own future. GT :-]

business plans & raising capital business plans & raising capital - In the US, providing projections of returns for an equity investor can be very problematic. I would also mention that unless you are dealing directly with the venture capital firms – a business plan (while necessary) is not the best tool for dealing with private investors. Working with a professional is a definite help – but be sure to check them out and be very clear about what you will be getting. Be very careful with those who say they can raise capital for you.
