Dare To Choose To Be An Entrepreneur

An Entrepreneur is someone who sees what they want and they go and get it. They are problem solvers, who do it in a way that doesn't hurt anyone, nor do they judge others.

To sum it all up the skills that an entrepreneur needs to have or may be even to develop, are the keys to success or failure. Skills like the ability to trust your instincts and take the risks even when you are going against the numbers. The ability to not let your failures stop you or even get to you. The ability to always remember why you got into this business in the first place. It all comes down to the will power and the strength of the mind to keep moving forward.

You will be rewarded for your work. It's the law of nature and nobody can take that away from you, if you worked towards it. But you cannot attain the success without all the work that comes with it.

If you keep doing what you have been doing you will keep getting the same results. It's your choice.

Re: Getting *back* to the next step Re: Getting *back* to the next step - I think small things can make a big difference. Cut corners when ever possible. To the point that you don't lose any business. For example: start using cheaper products around the office. You'd be surprised how much money you can save just by going to a less expensive brand for the same items. Start soliciting referrals. People are happy to give you a good one if you've done a good job. You just have to ASK. Word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising and it's the least expensive = free! Turn off lights and computers and even pull plugs on appliances on the weekends, or even every night if you have time and aren't using them. This saves a lot of energy in the long run and you should be conserving energy anyway. Dare I say this......shake the printer ink and make it go another 50 copies. Over a year you can save quite a bit in ink costs. There are other cuts you can make that won't impact the quality of your service/product if you sit down and really think it over, but this is a start.

Re: Do bigger monitors save time? Re: Do bigger monitors save time? - Hi Kevin, Thanks for the welcome! I would agree that two 17's would work well but really, any size would work. I'd be careful in going after the larger monitors that are traditional heights but are really wide, unless you have the desk space for it. Choose your monitors carefully as well to ensure that you try to find ones that have a small frame outside of the actual monitor screen. That way, when you put them together, the screens look a little more uniform. Last tip for either multiple monitors or one large one... Speed your mouse motion up. If you don't, you'll spend forever scrolling from one screen to another or across a larger screen. It'll take a bit to get used to at first but after a few days, using a mouse with regular motion will seem painstakingly slow!
How to create BUZZ? How to create BUZZ? - As a small startup we need to be able to create Buzz around our product, but we haven't had tons of success. Despite being written up in the Toronto Sun, Metro News, Entrepreneur Start Ups Magazine and listed as a resource in Entrepreneur Magazine people in Toronto still don't know about us. Any ideas on what I can do to get people talking? Preferable ones that don't have a large price tag attached? Any ideas would be appreciated. Our URL is included in my signature.
