Start Setting Those Goals!

What are your goals in life? Do you have goals set to provide a destination to take in life? This essentially is just a guideline for which you wish to bring about in your life. If you have no goals you actually have no place to go.

If you have those goals set, now you will need to know where to go and more importantly where you are now. As a result you can tlead yourself in the right direction.

Do you live in the present? This is actually the way the majority of people live. They are satisfied with the way things are for them. They are busy working, just making ends meet and not having a plan for the future. They can provide for their family, put food on the table, pay the bills, but other than that they don't look into the future.

I am going to tell you here, if you don't have set goals and start setting priorities in your life, you will awaken one day and realize you haven't really done much with your life. Don't let this happen to you.

When you do set goals for yourself, something magical happens, you now have a direction to take some kind of action to achieve your goals. Now you can quit wasting your time on unproductive activities.

If you are having a hard time trying to figure out exactly what your goals are, start thinking about who else would benefit from this. Don't make it all about yourself, think about how this would affect either your spouse, your children, your grandchildren, or how about your parents. When you start thinking about others it makes everything a whole lot easier to sort out.

Quit thinking about what you want to do with your life, get a plan together, actually write them down, and start taking action towards living into those goals. You can start any where you want, make it something easy to achieve at first, then move on the next goals. Once you figure it out you will realize how easy this can work for you.

I personally choose to use a picture board this keeps me focused on my goals , I actually have it right here by my computer, it is the best driving force that you could have. Why not try to put one together for yourself.

Do not let yourself wake up one day and regret the fact that you set no goals for yourself. You must start setting them today.

Having the right attitude is important when setting those goals. You must be driven by a clear set of values, and become truly passionate about the quality of thinking that you do. The more focused and passionate your attitude is about accepting those ideas or goals you have set for yourself. The more successful you will become.

Your attitude will decide everything. Whether you reach your goals or wake our one day and find yourself with no where to go. The future will become a whole lot brighter when you meet those goals that you have set for yourself.

EvanCarmichael.com suggestion - Maybe I missed it but I would like to suggest that a Blog be created to support the Forum. The idea is that in the blog you put in snippets of some of the biggest conversations with a 'read more' link to the forum itself. Setting up the Blog and clipping some conversations onto it wouldn't take very long.
