The Importance of Goal Setting! by Chery Schmidt

Today I would like to get started talking about goal setting and how this can help build your future.

We have all heard about all of successful people in the world, haven't we? Do you think that they were born under a Lucky Star or perhaps born with a silver spoon in their mouth?

Well this is actually not the case, most of them are just normal people like you and I. The only way to achieve whatever you want is to start setting goals. Make this first priority, set those goals and then start following through with them immediately.

You are going to have to find the resource's to get his done. Take a class or find a mentor, start getting knowledgeable about what it is that you truly want. The main reason that you set goals in the first place is to have a focus on the direction that you want to take with your life. Even if you don't achieve this set goal, the important thing is the type while of person that you become while seeking your goals.

When you do choose your goals you may have to change a few things, either in the way you think or the way you have been doing certain things. Just do the best that you can and do it consistently. This must be something that is on your mind all of the time. If you are not willing to give it your all chances are this is not something that you truly wanted in the first place.

Don't go setting some unrealistic goals; start little, then when you achieve that particular goal, move on to something bigger. Remember to celebrate along the way as well. Even if it is only a pat on the back, you need to praise yourself for every little accomplishment along the way; this will burst your ego and help motivate you to turn your dream into reality.

Start setting those goals today.

Here are few things you can do to get started.

1. Sit down and actually make a list with what it is that you want.

2. Now go through your list and reply each answer with why you want them. Knowing your why will make it so much easier for you to follow through with them. For now you have a reason to follow through with them, a motivation so to speak.

3. Figure out how you are going to get his done.

4. Take consistent action.

5. If you don't succeed at first, just keep at it, it may not be easy, but the outcome will be so well worth it

6. Quitting is not an option! Never give up on your dreams.

I hope you take my advice and do set some goals for yourself, because without them you will have no direction and will continue down the same path that you have been on. Then JUST DO IT!!

The best way in accomplishing your goals is to help as many people as possible in achieving their own.
