How to Improve Your Imagination

Your imagination is a fundamental part of your mental armory, and should be developed to your advantage. Well the good news is, that you can quite easily develop your imagination by following the suggested methods below. The writer Somerset Maugham, once said " Imagination grows by exercise, and contrary to common belief, is more powerful in the mature than the young" There have been many creative thinkers in the past responsible for inventions such as the electric light bulb, radio, television, and more recently the Internet, mobile phone and home computer. Now of course I am not saying that simply having a developed imagination will allow you to come up with a revolutionary new product for the masses, but it could certainly have a massive impact on your own life and those of your family, so here are a few suggestions for improving your imagination: -

•Your Personality - Use your imagination to overcome undesirable habits. If you are reserved or bad-tempered, if you have a speech impediment or are easily embarrassed, see yourself as being free from these tendencies. Stop dwelling on past failures. Paint success pictures in your mind daily. Develop a good self-image. Modify your self-image and you modify your behavior.

•Your Relationships - In what ways can you be a better partner, or parent. How can you improve on your business networking? Think and act now. Your improved imagination can change your world, and those closest to you.

•Your Work - How can you improve your own working conditions, be more useful to your employer. If you are an employer, how can you improve working conditions for your staff? Could you provide a workplace were ALL employees can advance themselves.

•Your Achievements - Use your imagination vividly here, visualize yourself being what you aspire to be, doing what you want to do. Create success images day-by-day, only positive images from now on; let imagination be your best friend.

Set about formulating NOW a vivid and detailed picture of exactly the person you wish to become. Focus on this image every day as often as you can. Let this image be the first thing you think of when waking, and the last thing you think of before going to sleep. You must do this daily, if you discipline yourself to follow this advice you WILL eventually become that person which your mind has created, and the words of John Masefield, who wrote "Man's body is faulty, his mind untrustworthy, but his imagination has made him remarkable" will be proven throughout your life.

Looking for creative ideas - I’m a student of Business management. I have been given a task by a local business to Improve there marketing to increase their sales, after a drop in interest in a certain service. The Business is a Local Health and leisure centre and is currently suffering from a drop in sales and interest in the adult swimming service. The Business have suffered from a drop in sales by nearly 50% in the past two years. They have asked me to create a business plan and an idea to how they can improve their marketing and increase their sales in adult swimming sessions. I am posting on here, to seek advice on any ideas that you may have about how a small leisure centre can increase sales in the adult swimming market. Any ideas would be welcome as I am currently struggling to come up with an idea that is very effective and cheap to carry out, so any ideas would be welcome. Hope I have given you enough basic info, don't hesitate to ask if you need more information. Again any ideas would be very welcome and I would appreciate your help. I will be looking forward to hearing some of your ideas. Looking for a quick reply as i have not got long to complete the task and organise my presentation to local businesses.
