Why more content means more traffic

So if you have relevant content on your website people are more likely to land on your website. Every visit that is received is considered as that website's traffic. Receiving traffic is not easy and needs search engine optimization and keyword rich articles. In spite of all you may have noticed some websites with more content receives more. Why ? following are some reasons.

Why more content means more traffic

So if you have relevant content on your website people are more likely to land on your website. Every visit that is received is considered as that website's traffic. Receiving traffic is not easy and needs search engine optimization and keyword rich articles. In spite of all you may have noticed some websites with more content receives more. Why ? following are some reasons.

Each article is subject specific:

Everyone usually writes web content with some specific subject. And each web content relevant to that article has relevant keywords. Google indexes those site soon which are focused on a single topic and keyword rich. That indirectly means more subject specific pages, more pages get indexed, more the chances of appearing in search results and more the chances that people will visit you.

More contents sets you up as an authority:

When people visit your website for some content they are in need of information. On visit if they find out that you have massive amount of information on your website. They consider you as a person who have mastery over subject you have build content. They start believing you then they bookmark your site, subscribe to your RSS feeds and may even put their email addresses in your opt-in page. That means sometimes more content does not only offer your visitors information but also offers them chance to trust you.

Content builds credibility:

Many people browse internet for information only. When they find out you have ample amount of information on your web pages they tend to tell others about visiting you. They may send emails about your web content to their friends or may advertise your website with words of praise. Words of praise means mouth publicity and without any doubt mouth publicity is most powerful advertising tool that ever existed. If a person who has nothing to do with you or your website if praises about your web content in front of his friends and family indirectly you build credibility.

Increase in backlinks:

If you are internet or affiliate marketer you might already be knowing importance of backlinks for your business. Backlinks sets you as trustworthy site in eyes of search engines and they start showing your website in search results. People who usually surf internet for information will surely bookmark you on their favorite bookmarking website or share link on social networks with friends each of these links is considered as powerful backlink. That means more backlinks and more traffic.

So now you know its not only web content and SEO that is responsible for web traffic increase but also more good content.

I have seen some fantastic websites that don’t get traffic and very poor sites that get lots of traffic but no sales. The trick is to find a niche or a product where there is a demand. Design a relevant website full of interesting and updated content. Drive as much traffic by whatever means that you can. If you can bring these three elements together then you are far more likely to make a success of your Internet business. regards, Mal.

[/quote:996f7ssl] totally agree. there's nothing like quality content to get more consistent traffic to your site. i've read somewhere that the best way to create good content is by following a set of 3E content creation rules: educational, enlightening or entertaining. in past tests i've done, following the 3E above trumps all the website promotion and backlinking campaigns of a site that contains poor content when it comes to traffic generation.

I've noticed in the past couple of weeks, that by blog posting once every 3 days instead of once every 5 or 7 days has increased the number of comments I receive, mostly from repeat visitors. So I'm going to tweak my posting frequency and hopefully find the optimal time frame.

That means webmasters, internet marketers, techies, and others along those lines. I've had sites go below the 100,000 mark in Alexa with relatively little traffic because they were getting this kind of traffic. Now, the only problem with that is those are the same people that will not click on your ads or buy from your affiliate links. Highly targeted search traffic is where the money comes from for the most part, but those people won't help your Alexa at all because most of them won't have the toolbar installed. That's why in the grand scheme of things your Alexa ranking actually means nothing. You have REALLY made it if your site hits a very low Alexa mark like under 50,000 and it's not from just getting tech savvy people to it. That means you are getting a ton of traffic and most of it is the right kind! That's ideal, obviously. Michelle, I am not implying anything about your site in this post. I just kind of got on a ramble and decided to explain this to anyone who might not have already known.
Re: 7 Top Blog Design Tips - On the other hand I jave seen some blogs/sites with a killer design and high traffic with no contributing content at all. I guess their traffic didn't convert well, but for sure they did earn some money.
