Learn Together With Your Kids

Helping your kids in completing their homework will eventually improve your perception, learning and reasoning abilities. Even though the learning styles at present is entirely different and keeps changing often, the basic still remain the same. Recently when I was having my evening relaxations with my Dish TV I came across a informative show that insisted on helping the kids with their homework to make them perform well in school. I was just chuckling within myself thinking about my golden school days that I have crossed and the level of education that my juniors have now. When it comes to homework, At first you may feel completely out of the loop. For example your child may be taking an algebra class. There are many rules to follow for it and most of us do not remember them. Take the time to follow the examples in the book to see what you can figure out. A great way to help your child to check their math homework is to do several of the problems on your own sheet of paper. Have your child do the same thing and then compare answers. If you find that some of them are different work those problems together with your child to find the right answer.

English is another course where you can improve your cognitive abilities when helping your kids with homework. Do you readily recall all of those rules relating to the different parts of speech? Do not worry if don’t have to feel shy because most of the adults will have to say that they don’t know about it either. As you relearn this material you will be able to help your child with his or her homework. At the same time it will help you too to enhance your own skills. When your children discover you have a special interest in helping them in their school work they will be more motivated to complete it. They will feel confident coming to you for help with it as well. You can use that time together to bond in a way that you haven’t been able to when you had lonely evenings letting them to work on their studies separately. Many children are intimidated to ask their teachers for help. Yet it is a proven fact that they don’t have any diffident in asking doubts to their parent.

Most of the time we do not have the right information to help them in their subjects. By keeping on top of what your children are learning you can help them do their very best in school. At the same time you will be exercising your own brain and improving your cognitive abilities. If you have several children make sure you learn what they are doing at the various levels. If you are not able to learn what you need to from your child’s school books, look around online. There are plenty of sites dedicated to help parents learn such information. You can also contact the school and ask the teacher to help you if you are puzzled by certain formulas or information that your child is being asked to use for their homework.

You will be surprised by how much of the information you retain learning it this second time around. Then as your younger children move up to more advanced work you will already have the skills you need to complete it. Another benefit of all of this is that it gives you a new way to look at things. Instead of just telling your children to go do their homework you have a firsthand understanding of what they need to accomplish as well as the time it takes to do it. Start learning along with your juniors but make sure that grow sooner than them. Merry Christmas

Re: Is it better to become an entrepreneur at an early age? Re: Is it better to become an entrepreneur at an early age? - The younger you are the better you are at learning. I just posted a new thread that one of our teams won 2nd place at the FLL competition. these kids are at age 11-12, and they learned most of the skills by themselves. They know how to read and write in English. Kids in Israel just start learning English at the age of 10. They learned programing skills, etc. One of the kids learn how to use the Gimp program in one hour! That was amazing, all he knew before is how to work with windows' paint, and I downloaded gimp and he made posters for the team. This is why there are many schools for 3 years old, teaching them English and math. To answer you question, Kevin, I thing young is good, after you learn different skills, you can start at an early age. Kids in my country have a little advantage, they have to go to the army for 2 years, this experience is preparing you to life, and you have to mature early. And the best thing about it the early retirement too. A good entrepreneur will be able to retire early, this is everyones dream.

Re: How did we Live before Electricity Re: How did we Live before Electricity - Hi Michelle, It's hard for us to think about life without electricity, like the Kids today can imagine their lives without a mobile phone. I do remember years we didn't have to use heaters and air conditioners. 2 days ago it was so hot here I couldn't breath. In my country the electric company is now paying to those who install solar panels an reduce the use of electricity. It is still very expensive, many still thinking if it worth it when think on the money they are going to spend, but if you think about the global worming, that we caused be cause we use electricity, I think it worth it.
