How to choose the best business to get into

What’s the most popular reason for starting your own business? Freedom and flexibility! If you find the right business for you, it can make the difference between a business that feels like a job versus a business that gives you the freedom you want. To help you choose the best business to get into, consider first five essential areas of your life: time, money, goals, personality and skills. Here’s how each of these will help you determine the right business for you:

How much free time do you have?

Forget Four Hour Work Week. Even the most basic business needs huge amounts of time to set up. To gain an idea of how much time you have to start a business, evaluate how much spare time you have. Track your time for about a week to see what pockets of time you have. Once that’s done, look around for opportunities that you can create within that amount of time. As an example, if you’re working full time, or have a young family, consider that you have about 2 to 3 hours of spare time a day. You’ll need to find easy to start, or easily automated businesses that you can work with in this time period.

Money

Determine from the start what your what your income goals are. Is your business likely to help you reach those goals? If yes, then when will you reach those goals? Or, how can you set up your business so it can earn you the income you desire? Research at what point you estimate your business can start to earn you your projected income. Don’t forget to determine how much money you have to invest in such an opportunity so it has the chance to succeed from the start.

Goals

What is your vision for your work at home life? Do you envision working four hours a day? Do you want to make six figures? Everyone has their own definition of success. What is yours? What are your goals and how will you know when you’re successful?

Here’s how to get there: Write a few paragraphs that describe your ideal day as a successful entrepreneur. What does it look like? How do you spend your day? How has your life changed? Write it as if you’re already successful. Now, evaluate your business opportunities you find based on this definition of success.

Personality

Certain opportunities require extensive interaction with people, while others are more project focused. What works with who you are? If you try to force yourself into business opportunities that don’t fit with who you are, then your business will definitely feel like work.

Skills and Interests

What are you interested in? What’s your passion? It may sound like a cliché, but having a business that’s easy to work with will go so much better if you like what you do. Look for business opportunities based on your skills, strengths and interests.

Finding the right business is a mix of your personality, passion and planning. Use these tips to get the right business for you.

Landing Page Confusion Landing Page Confusion - Which will perform better, a landing page that has one clear objective or one that has multiple objectives? As marketers, we are continually faced with the dilemma of determining what to show customer prospects when they arrive at our sites. Should we present them with just one offer or option, or give them several and let them choose? I feel the landing page should present the customers with a couple of options and let them choose.
