Energy and Utility Talent Aquisition Demands

Competitive pricing, consolidation, restructuring and deregulation, are all buzz words now surrounding energy markets. In the past, the prime focus and motivation of the utilities industry was only to provide reliable energy. Continued emphasis on the development of "green energies," and the need for the merging of the once distinct utilities of power and natural gas, is a driving force in the search for leadership that can foster valued and significant change in these varied combinations of energy services.

Strong senior-level executives are needed to ensure a company's competitiveness. Leaders who understand the need for the industry to be more customer-focused and who have the experience to bring such varied skills as sales, marketing, finance, human resources and engineering are essential to growth and success. The looming need for new and cleaner power plants also points to the need for executives adept at negotiating with both regulatory and legislative bodies.

Executive Search and Recruiting firms must provide clients a distinct and profitable advantage in locating and hiring the senior and technical executives with the skill sets critical to explore, acquire and bring new and improved energy resources online to growing the various demanding domestic agenda along with sourcing and resourcing ties to international markets.

Re: Invoicing Re: Invoicing - [quote="bennyboy7":243h82ue]Hi All I was reading an interesting article when I was in my bank the other day. It said that more and more companies are now charging interest on invoices that are paid late. Does anyone use this method? I think it could damage your relationship and decrease anymore work with the client? What do you think? Its a tough choice...[/quote:243h82ue] That's always been a common practice in businesses I managed and companies I dealt with. Utility companies and many other businesses do it all the time. There can be some exceptions, but its a good practice to have in place. It is a definite way to encourage people to pay on time. If there is a good reason not to pay a bill on time, then the fees can be waived. You can also take a page from the credit card companies and charge interest and a past due charge for delinquent accounts. Shri
