The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will conduct more I-9 audits, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will aggressively investigate charges of discrimination, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will conduct more audits regarding misclassification of independent contractors, and the Department of Labor's agenda includes increased audit and enforcement proceedings related to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
