Top 5 Warning Signs Your Employees Are Looking For A New Job

1. A noticeable change in attitude. If a formerly enthusiastic staff member becomes withdrawn and indifferent, chances are he or she has checked out. Look for changes both individually and in team settings.

2. Longer lunch breaks and frequent absences. This could be a sign that the employee is using the time for job interviews. Or it could indicate that the employee is simply bored with their work.

3. Missed deadlines and increased errors. A deadline missed here or there is normal, but workers who are disinterested make it a habit and it can throw off the efficiency of an entire department or company. Increased errors from a previously conscientious employee are a sign of disengagement and may signal lost interest and an impending departure.

4. More professional attire. If an employee in your business casual environment all of a sudden starts showing up in his Sunday best, chances are he’s interviewing.

5. Drop in productivity. A worker who is disconnecting from the job may show a decline in performance or work quality and start missing deadlines, meetings and appointments.

Napoleon on Project Management Napoleon on Project Management - Why do I include this in a list of books aimed at female entrepreneurs? Well...in the expectation that there are as many female history buffs as male ones, and in the belief that anyone interested in history will find this book fascinating, while those interested in project management will learn a thing or two. I think this was the first "gimmick" book - an author using a historical figure (usually a male, military figure, it must be admitted) to talk about modern day business management. I refuse to read any of the kind that advocates - even obliquely - the techniques of the Sopranos or the Mossad - but these military ones are pretty fun. Anyway: Only in the understanding of history, Napoleon might say, do we gain an understanding of strategy in the present. In the same spirit, Napoleon on Project Management offers the recipe for successfully managing your commitments using the strategies, tactics and priorities that propelled Napoleon himself to victory. [The book doesn't gloss over how Napolean eventually fell in defeat, of course, and there's lessons to be learned there as well. TOC Foreword by Douglas James Allan (Napoleanic Society of America) 1. You must delete the posts if you can, report them if you can't, and those with the power need to ban the member doing the spamming.
CEOs and Email - Slaves? CEOs and Email - Slaves? - I wonder if the emails they are responding to are filtered thru their assistants first 'cos they seem to spend a lot of their off hours responding to them. True they are successful but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that price. I'd be interested to know what's the in the typical day planner of Entrepreneurs on the Forum. Entrepreneurs are a different breed than Paid Employees- so it would be interesting to view the contrast.

Not dealing with spammers in the appropriate manner by banning them is not in the best interest of the forum. Those with the power to do so need to take action to protect the integrity of what this forum is all about.
