Re: Onpage Optimisation Re: Onpage Optimisation - That is a good point and one I hope to use to my advantage with my software. I use the very latest technologies and I'm not constrained by previous versions. Having said that, I am new to the market and being better than my competitors isn't enough, I have to convince people that my software is better than my competitors.
Re: Onpage Optimisation Re: Onpage Optimisation - Yes, they are very important in onpage optimization. However, competition is main in SEO whether you are doing on-page or off-page. Suppose if any competitor is 5 years old and you started to compete that site then you would be able to us new technologies which your competitors may not have used hence it is easy to overcome the competitors.
Re: When did your entrepreneurism start? Re: When did your entrepreneurism start? - It may have started earlier but at 7 years old, my second summer of having the lemonade stand on the corner of my block, I realized something important. There were four of us at the same stand, and we took turns sitting at the booth. What I realized is that while we liked hanging out together, we were only getting sales from people in this one area. The next day, I came out with two boxes and two pitchers. I sent two of my friends a couple blocks away to set up a second stand. By the end of the summer there were four stands and we each made enough to satisfy every desire of a 7 year old. My understanding of scale, franchise, and entrepreneurship began.
Re: Let's talk about financial stress Re: Let's talk about financial stress - Well then should an entrepreneur be more concerned about what his/her competitors are doing or what he/she needs to do in order to succeed? You could always look at it like the "glass if half full" rather than half empty. For example, if your company is struggling during the financial crisis then maybe it will help to take out some of your competitors in the process.
Re: Kevin's Case Study #2 - The Art of Pitching Re: Kevin's Case Study #2 - The Art of Pitching - [quote="bmueller47":2b727h54]Hi Kevin, I often thought about that. How can you protect good idea? If it is a novel idea, one can have it patented. However, that is not the cheapest and easist route. It requires research and development, often with a prototype etc. If know somebody you can trust to assist, that would be ideal. Lets see, what our friends of the forum have to contribute.[/quote:2b727h54] Hi Beat, The problem is that without a strategic partnership, I don't my t-shirts could stand on their own as it would be too easy for more established competitors to copy the idea. And therefore, it wouldn't be practical to trademark the design before a partner was even found.
