TOP TIPS FOR SURVIVING IN BUSINESS
Improvisational ideas in business and thinking outside the box are what are most needed in this environment of economic insecurity. It is those that have worked hard at creative teams that will benefit most from situations and mine new opportunities.
Coming from the improvisational theatre at Second City I know that it is when people are up against the wall that new and creative ways of approaching problems start to surface.
It seems its human nature to be not change until they have to. That chaos if directed will create creative solutions.
As a business owner and entrepreneur you are the one people are looking to for direction.
As they say the fish stinks from the head, so as a leader its important to keep your own positive attitude in order.
1) Build Trust in teams by getting them to say yes to new ideas when the stakes are low.
2) Say yes and rather than yes but.
3) Teach your team how to put their ideas out there. ANd build their confidence so they will risk when the stakes are higher.
